Hello fellow players, here with another of my questions and discussions!
So, as usual, after a while that the new expansion has been released, i like to see what are the decks that are being played. I do two types of deck buildings: the casual for fun decks, usually using or trying the legendaries i get, and the competitive ones i use for ranked when i need to fulfill quests and such (now more than ever, since they are really pushing the ranked side of things).
As a wide minded player, i like to play all the classes, so i tend to make at least one deck for every class. Not every expansion it happens, there might be an expansion where the competitive deck is too expensive that one time, or don’t have good cards to switch with, so i just skip. But it’s been nearly a full year that i don’t have a Warrior Deck! The last one i did was a casual for fun cheap Galakrond Warrior when that expansion came out, but since then… haven’t played Warrior at all. All the decks i see, every time, cost at least 2500-3000 dust! Is it normal for Warrior to be such an expensive deck, or is it like a casual thing where i just never got good Warrior legendary/epic cards? xD for example i notice i tend to get a lot more Paladin Legendaries and in fact those decks, both the competitive ones and the ones i make, are easier to build.
And since i’m here, side question: can anyone suggest an eventual, even just casual for fun, deck for Warrior? I really want to play some Warrior and it’s been nearly a year not playing it xD and i can’t think of something good to build myself with what little i actually have for this class.
Typically yes but it’s intrinsic to their hero power as it draws out games meaning you need the flashy value/game winning cards to win. Pirate warrior which ignored that was cheap as it go face.
Well, 2500-3000 does not seem to be that much to me, but as a paying player, I may have a different view. Also depends on whether you want to play wild or standard - I’m guessng standard based on your text. In wild, I had some fun with pirate warrior. In standard, I think Bomb Warrior is played, not cheap I guess.
Sadly i’m a F2P player, can’t afford to pay for a card game and prefer to invest in games i like more. To me card games are a side jig, something i play occasionally just for fun when i have the time (mostly at night, after a long day). So yeah, we sure have different views! But i’m still glad to hear your opinion and happy you answered the topic!
Actually i could play in Wild, but yeah, for practical reasons i tend to play Standard more (mostly cause the card collection). Bomb Warrior was an archetype i wanted to play, but is quite expensive, and as i stated, most probably i have been very unlucky with this class as not getting many legendaries or epics for it. For Pirate Warrior i saw most deck play legendaries i don’t possess, like Ancharr, Greenskin and Krastinov, so i just didn’t try it out (even because i’m not a fan of aggro decks
)
Usually when i check on new decks (after opening a few packs) the cost varies from 200/300 to 2000 dust, where most of the time i substitute what i can with other good and fun cards to play. With Warrior it’s always more, that is why from my f2p point of view is quite expensive haha, many legendaries or decks that rely on specific cards to be viable and fun, like Wrenchcalibur for Bomb Warrior or Ancharr for Pirate Warrior.
The thing with warrior is, that if you don’t care that much about winning, you can build a cheap fun deck with cards you just have lying around and it’ll still be ok. I’ve got a deck that almost solely relies on pulling out troublemakers with Dimension Rippers and I win a surprising amount at low ranked standard with it.
So what fun neutral or warrior win condition cards do you have? After that just fill the deck with either removal/draw/stall to get to that win condition or proactive minions to force the issue having you’re flashy stuff as the coup de grace. Master that deck and you’re climb a surprisingly far way before other peoples deck quality/ability becomes a brick wall.

I’ll sure try something out just like you said. Yeah, i don’t care for winning, but i still like to play a deck that feels coherent, like i built some casual decks that do not win as much but are very fun and interactive with a theme or a concept in common. I’ll try something out with Warrior, as you said, see what i’ve got and try to focus on that one condition, maybe craft that one or two cards that could make a simple yet fun deck. Thanks again for the answer!
