It feels good to quit, you should try it too

I hadn’t bothered climbing this month to get back to legend. I just havn’t wanted to play this game. Low and behold I have today and I can say i’ve uninstalled for good. I’ve only really played casual this month to keep up with gold through quests.

After seeing a hunter produce these lifesteal minions 3x and restoring 9 hp a turn I was done. WTF is this. Everything lifesteals now. Everything does everything. There is nothing unique about classes. Everything has OP ship and its whoever out OPS the other. Rarely to do with your brain. Not playing a game growing ever larger in randomness and being put in a place I’m just overwhelmed

Done for good. Don’t have to care about the gold anymore. Feelsgood

Piece of ship for company anyway, so glad I remained f2p and not giving these cants a dime.

And you need to broadcast this? If you want to quit, quit. Nobody else needs to know or cares.

Well its not just a person just saying they’re quitting. I’m merely posting the experience I’ve had with the game and the feeling of removing it. I’m pretty sure alot of people are familiar with wanting to quit but don’t for whatever reason. Quitting is part of that.

And why broadcast anything here Robert? Do we NEED to do any of it really? You cared enough to reply. I don’t care whether anyone cares or not. It was my outlet and at the same time, if people are in a position where they’re unsure and the game makes them mad. Then removing it is therapeutic. The games become trash. Out power creeping with such bs it aint fun, nothing but frustration, why? Because alot of the games were never in your control in the first place.

So you lost too many games and don’t like the grind, Potato? There are other ways to play than grinding to legend every month.

No Rob, I was sitting at 4 and 2 before I had enough. Win, lose. Felt the same

Actually I support this as we all get to share our experience with the game. And I guess there might be points where others might find something to identify with.

Myself I have not yet unistalled the game, but I am getting there. I cut my expenses on the game, slowed down the grind, but I find my reasons very similar to the ones mentioned.

The power creep has been sped up considerably and lots of classes now have lots of tools to produce swing turns and it really comes down only to the fact who draws their cards in better order and/or sooner and most of these plays/combos/whatever leave the other person with nothing and sour taste in their mouths as there is not much you can usually do to prevent it.

Also the game has lost lots of its appeal - blame netdecking or whatever. Play wild - neptulon, neptulon, something else, mill druid, neptulon, secret mage, secret, secret, neptulon. Shall I go on? Variety is lacking.

So let the guy speak his mind and make his farewell. He is not the first and I am sure as hell he will not be the last…

Its the arrogance of “I’m quitting, you should too” that gets my back up. Its one thing explaining what you don’t like. Its another to actively say that others should quit too. Let us decide ourselves. I haven’t played ladder past 5 wins for the card back for 6 months. I play duels, battlegrounds and tavern brawls. I’m not going to tell others to stop playing ladder.

If someone just stated what their experience is without the extra " you should quit as well because my opinion is the only one that is correct" then I’d be fine with it. This guy has a history of making posts to encourage a negative response. Troll springs to mind, even in the manner he replies by changing people’s names to try and make himself seem important.

By all means have an opinion, express your views. This guy however is a known troll.

I’m one of the biggest fans of this game, but during this last month there’s one thing that really started bothering me:
it’s the variety of ways that you can cheat mana. And now it’s readily available to almost all the classes.

Reduce the cost of this spell by 1, reduce the cost of that minion to 1. Draw your highest cost card and reduce its cost by 6, discover a legenday minion-set its cost to 0.

All these discounts stack and each new card set brings new spells and minions that allow you big savings on mana

This in turn lets the players create huge swings and winning game states in one turn that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
I think it amounts to too much.

The ability to cheat mana is by far the strongest thing in the game, and it would be nice if the developers bore this in mind when designing the next set.

This is the number one reason I no longer play ladder. You can do everything correctly, then one big mana cheat cancels out the entire game. Even when you are the one that pulls off a mana cheat, it doesn’t feel satisfying to win in that way. The worst is paladin, you could be dominating the entire game, then they draw the card that gives them three zero cost legendaries, gets expensive legendaries and then plays them for free. Its gimicks like that which erode any kind of real gameplay or tactics.
