It also required undead to be in the lobby, which isn’t guaranteed, as well as the Baron to really get started. But it did work. I wouldn’t say it broke BG though, that kind of connotation implies far more devastating effects on the game. Winning a single lobby isn’t all that and a bag of chips all things considered.
Yes, true, but how many players rage quit because of Frog or Pirate Chips? I would rather play against a Frog bouncing all over the place than Kripps Monster.
Pople like him play in 10-11k bracket, let’s face it, have you ever been in 7k? I was couple of seasons in 6.5k-7k and it is a nightmare to play there, because you absolutely need to play the top meta and nothing else…
From 5k onwards luck aka RNG replaces skill. The higher you get the more luck rules.
Why is this? Because at these levels the players know exactly what the meta builds are and they either get the right pieces at the right time or they don’t. It’s either or.
That means you either squash or you are squashed. There is maybe a little skill involved in knowing when to play a scam like Leeroy, but that is minor.
Bottom line: don’t feel bad if you don’t win a battleground, you were simply unlucky.
I played a lot MTG and recently Lorcana. You build your deck with the best sinergies you can, but will you draw all the right cards when you need them, if you are lucky… The only difference is that in BG you don’t choose when and what to attack, it is fully random, that is also luck. On PC there are addons that tell you what were your chances. Do you know how many times i lost with 90% chance to win? And how many times i died with 1% letal ? The game is an autobattler, the only control you have is the order you put your minions. From then on it is the skill to buy and buff the right minions, and think how to protect your most important minion.
Yesterday I had a game with Sneed and Undead, I even got the Barron… well I lost. Although I had 3 minions with 1000+ stats… Poison lock divine shields with replenishing divine shield trinket…
