:Looks around in fear: Can I share this?

Alright so, Don’t kill me. I just wanted to take a moment and deeply appreciate Academic Espionage as a part of Quest Rogue. It seems to work wonders, Specially against classes like Mage or any other spell/ Control heavy ones. I also came to find that it does count towards as completing the Bazaar Burglary, Which is double thumbs up from me.

Although the opponent didn’t literally bother with Stargazer Luna’s passive (For whatever reason) and made bad choices and blah blah, I think my point is that stealing current Rogue is really fun! Probably not the best stats on the ladder right now, But dare I say the most fun!

Just in case someone wants to try out the deck, I’m posting it here. It probably isn’t all that different from regular Quest Rogue decks, But I changed it around 7 times to finally optimize it for maximum smoothness. Stuff like Spirit of the Shark, Bazaar Muggers, Gadgetzan Auctioneers, Acolytes of Pain and many other cards have been swapped in the deck to finally get here.

You certainly are “active” half the posts are yours xD cheers

I sense a great danger.

no one said that you shouldn’t share anything. but two people suggested that you make one thread for it and if they hadn’t, I would have.

because those posts of yours are of similar nature. you share a match and sometimes a deck that goes with it. there is no need to make a separate thread for every post.

that style will clog up the forum pretty well if it catches on and more people start doing it.

but you don’t have to. that’s just my opinion and in the other thread philly’s and sheercold’s. whatever you decide to do, that’s up to you.

I know. I was just joking.
I’ll be posting my stuff on this one from now on.

Yes. Make it into one thread. Then when you add a post to it later we can accuse you of necro-ing old threads.

Buy more card packs.

Last moment clutch against prick… I meant priest.
Of course my early misplay screwed me over and put me down to 4 hp super early. But hey! At least I flipped the table, Alright?

So, as a huge fan of rogue class, i gave this a go. Seems pretty good, but i think I might swap out the si7`s for another vendetta, possibly spirit of the shark. still good fun though.

Another Vendetta would be really nice, Given that there are gonna be quite some single target buffs you’d have to deal with, Specially against Hunter, Druid, Priest and Paladin. However there’s just one more thing to consider and it’s the value. The number of “Death” synergized cards in this game is pretty high and I’m not just talking about deathrattle cards. We have Reborn minions with Taunt, Other cards that get auto buffed with other minions death or them taking damage, Spells that give minions deathrattles and so on.
In a situation like this, It’s always nice to consider the value of your single target removals. Sure a Vendetta is cool with it’s valuable discount that could easily be combo’ed into other cards, But chances are it’s either not enough to take out a minion or it might force you to trade your other minions and even face (Before finishing the quest) and end up handing over the tempo over to the opponent for free. Not to mention you’ve probably triggered that big target’s deathrattle and so on…
When it comes to value, I’d always take Sap superior to any other removals. Sure it’s 2 mana price seems higher than the Vendetta with it’s temporary discount, But the reason to it’s higher value simply lies in the “Bounce” mechanic itself. For 2 mana, You’re returning a big target back to your opponents hand, Without triggering any deathrattles or letting it activate other passive buff minions on their other side, While potentially discarding every single buff they spent on it. You’re basically gaining back the tempo on the board without having to trade a single thing for it other than 2 mana and the last advantage is you’re potentially confusing the hell out of the opponent. Why? You just returned their 8 mana huge taunt or a tiny minion they had buffed into hell back to their hand. Are they gonna replay that high drop again while letting to advance for an extra turn and maybe find a second way to play around it? Or are they gonna ignore it and hang onto something else? What if their hand is empty now? See? It probably sound super situational, But don’t forget that your opponent, Specially combo, Aggro and tempo decks will always be prepared for losing a minion on the battlefield and have a plan to take advantage of it. In those cases, Ruining the tempo is your best bet.
Still, Don’t forget the amount of the card and specially spell generators in this deck is so high that you probably won’t go on a turn without one or two removals in your hand and they already get enough discounts from Academic Espionage and Wondrous Wand. Ethereal Lackey is always the best answer generator for me and has saved my butt a lot of times with an on time Eviscerate or Sap.
Regarding the Spirit of the Shark, I highly recommend against it. The reason is based on several games I ran it in there, It basically makes the whole synergy of the deck fall apart and slows you down to a noticeable level. Sure there are some Nice battlecry minions in there, Such as Togwaggle himself and Evil Miscreants, But don’t even think about trying this minion as a way to speed up your quest by playing it with Blink Fox or Hench Clan Burglar. Why? Cuz you’re supposed to have finished the quest before you even get to play Spirit of the Shark. That’s where this minion ruins your synergy. You’re playing a 4 mana in middle of the match and waiting for the next turn to play something with it, Cuz you already know the opponent won’t leave it there for the next turn after that. Well, You just slowed yourself down for a really marginal advantage off of that minion that’s just gonna die anyway. That’s not the point of this deck. The whole mindset in this deck is just “Go go go” and not “Let’s just stop by here and get an extra Lackey or something we already have multiple ways of getting our hands on”.
Even if you’re planning for a late game use of the Spirit of the Shark, Say for something like Togwaggle, The problem will be that you won’t be able to play the treasure in the same turn as Togwaggle himself and in emergency situations, That’s gonna be your end, Right away. If you’re planning on taking advantage from Togwaggle or few other battlecry minions you got, Just remember you already have 2 Shadowsteps in there.
Finally about the SI: 7 Agents. It’s totally up to you. I’ve always ran them in all my Rogue decks just because I like them and feel like it kinda defines this class. Value-wise, You’re technically getting 3/3 body and also 2 damage that’s always served as a finisher (Both minions and face). So it’s totally up to you, But don’t forget this card’s Tempo Value is really high, Specially against other Tempo/ Aggro decks in early turns.
