I have been playing Hearthstone for many years. It’s the game that I play while i chill out. I log on to climb ranked, finish daily’s in order to gain my arena entrance fee and occasionally queue battlegrounds once and a while. However i think over time the quality of certain aspects has dropped dramatically and with the new release of twist,
I see no improvement in sight. Ive drafted a list of improvements/suggestions that I hope the community will agree and hopefully spark some ideas with the devs.
Guilds- The main change
One of the biggest issues with Hearthstone is the lack of social features. Almost every other game has some sort of social features such as guilds or groups. One of the biggest aspects of classic world of warcraft was the raiding with your guild, 20-40 people getting together at the same time to engage in raiding or world pvp. Id like to see this translated into hearthstone potentially in the form of regular ranked play against another guild or potentially seeing a group of players enter a 10v10 arena challenge where everyone drafts a deck at the start in the arena format to keep progressing upwards. Something where players all meet at a specific time to compete or complete a task for exclusive rewards like guild banners or titles, gold, cards, card backs and more. I remember seeing thunder fury for the first time and thinking that man clearly engages in sexual activity often. Id like to see something similar in Hearthstone.
Cost/Pricing
Hearthstone has taken quite a big dive over the years with a lot of the streamer platform leaving ect. As the player-base drops the price of certain things increases to meet financial targets. I believe this is a huge issue. The alone price of the battlepass is £17.99, this is in no way along with the trend of every other game. I could give it a little pass if some sort of currency could be earned within to enable me to re buy the battlepass next season but there is nothing. Id like to see a similar setup like fortnite or apex legends. Players earn an in-game currency within the battlepass and then decide if they want to use it to buy the battlepass again or on something else. I believe lowering the cost of certain things like packs, battlepass and bundles will encourage players back and therefor increasing profits in the long run.
Quality of cosmetics
Over the years im sure various artists and devs have come and gone and not all are as talented as some. However the quality of certain character portraits has drastically fallen. I myself will easily use the default character portraits over some of the ones earned through the free system or the battlepass. Some of them look like the artstyle is from a different game. Some you can barely see a weapon they are holding and some straight up look like they were created by a child. I understand this might be a tactic to get people to buy player portraits from the shop but when the ones I am describing exist on a 17 pound battlepass, you expect a little more.
Gold/ Currency
One of the most enjoyable things to do in Hearthstone is arena, even though sometimes it can be unfair and a waste of time. It always gets me coming back to try again. Some days thats all id like to do. I am all for the entry fee, i think it puts risk into it and gives players something to spend gold on however with one quest per day im not able to queue. A while ago 3 wins would earn you 10 gold. Occasionally ill find myself with 145 gold with no quests left which leaves me with no choice but to log off and just come back another day. I understand this is also an incentive to buy the runes currency for an arena ticket but again the price is far too high and for the average working player and its just not worth it. Id like to see the 10 gold every 3 wins come back to allow players to keep playing for longer. After all the tactic is to keep the person engaged for as long as possible, if the player logs off the system has failed. Id like to see the runes currency on the battlepass as i mentioned in the previous paragraph.

- Less aggro more control games. card games were meant to last not end in 5 turns
- Less discover and rng based cards especially with mage. (maybe reduce the 3 cards to pick from on a discover card to 2)
3.Create an incentive for streamers to come back- they were a huge part of the game
4.Improve the mini event rewards- separate rewards for battlegrounds and normal
5.Fix the dim on some of the gold player portraits. I wanna see my gold border in all its glory.
