I was sorely disappointed finding this out. That -has got- to be a bug right? Stat: Immune does nothing -.-
Immune makes your hero unable to take damage from attacks. Mecha’Thun does not do a single point of damage with the deathrattle, it just destroys your hero. Therefore Malganis’ text has no bearing on the situation whatsoever.

Immune only stops damage and targeting, it doesnt stop indirect effects like mecha thun or death knight paladin after summoning 4 knights, and its thanks to those two methods of getting arounf hero immune i beat lich king solo adveture with every class
