Why can’t I buy card pack with gold?
You can. Go to shop, select the regular Lich packs (not the fancy ones) and the option to buy with gold is still at the top like always (I opened 70ish early with gold).
Why can’t i get runestones with ingame gold?
Same reason you’ve never been able to buy a pre-order with gold.
Runestones = money, they just happen to be legally distinct.
