Matchmaking is going crazy?

Hey!

What’s wrong with the matchmaking???

Every time I queue my warrior control deck, I’m put against a control deck killer.

Every time I queue my aggro deck, I’m put against a faster deck and I lose without a chance.

Did you change anything T5? This is the first time I lose in a 10 streak …

aggro and control are ruling the meta so it would be natural to encounter your counter at some point, and the odds of winning will decrease if you are on a 10-0 winning streak.

not because of some hidden algorhytm but your odds have increased over time.
you know , rolling the dice 6 , 5 times in a row , what will be your chance of doing it a 6th time ?

on ladder I play control warrior exclusively and I encounter both (really) good and (really) bad matchups.

I don’t know how quickly you switch between decks, but I suspect that your perceived queuing into counters has something to do with it.

It will still be 1/6.

ofcourse , but 6 in a row ?

Would be 1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6 x 1/6 obviously.

you’re both correct, but you aren’t talking about the same thing.

the odds of rolling a six when throwing a die is 1/6.

the odds of rolling six sixes in a row is (1/6)^6, so much lower than 1/6. but each individual throw of a die (including the last one) still has the same chance of 1/6 being a six.

Deck popularity and chance creates bias

you are much more incliend to notice unfavorable matchups, and tend to quickly forget the good ones.

Yes, sometimes it feels like something is rigging the game - like failing to pull an answer from you deck in 2 from 4 chance, and then having it in your oppening hand and mulligan in the next game.

This is just chance, happens.

You have luck and unlucky streaks. Get used to it.

all the times, I’ve felt that a certain deck is switching with mine switches, it turns out that a new version of this deck has appeared in … lets say meta stats. When a new deck there has under 3k games, its stats are really unrealistic - sometimes it has 75+% wr. And ppl want to win, not only that - ppl want decks that play themselve, so they jump on the bandwagon. I bet this the case.

BTW, i strongly recommend the Mecha Chtun Warrior, Trump showcased last night. It still struggles with mages, but it has good wr vs all other meta decks

This is exactly right. Rolling a die the odd’s of getting a specific number in any one roll is ALWAYS 1/6. The odd’s of rolling 6 consecutive 6’s, however, is an entirely different thing
