I think that if that were true, it would be a giant boost for players with a low star multiplicator and they’d get out of bronze much quicker.
if there are no farming veterans, a new player has to earn each win.
if a new player is matched against a farming veteran, he has a very high chance of getting gifted a win.
since there are 15 stars per rank floor (5 ranks), a farming veteran must concede roughly as many games per 1 win as he has star multiplicators.
for example I had a multiplicator of 9 when I started this season. if I won 2 games in a row, I’d have already left the rank floor. so I’d have had to concede 9 times in order to not leave the rank floor before I can win again.
there would be variations to this strategy, but with more or less the same effect. I could concede only 8 times per win and after 6 wins concede between 9 and 15 times in order to reset back far enough.
but the result would be that on average I’d have to concede 9 out of 10 games in order to farm new players.
this would be a giant waste of time for me and a huge plus for every new player, who has a (in my case) 90% chance of getting a free win (plus whatever chance there is to actually beat me even if I try to win).
You can’t manipulate the MMR, well at least no the easy way as they’ve stated that they’ve put in some measures to prevent it. So in theory the only way they could farm the low ranks would be to never climb and miss out on the rewards.
You dont get matched based on your mmr are u crazy? Am playing against ppl who have golden hero that means 500+ wins. And l have at the most 100 matches. Ppl with 12k+ dust decks u should play as a beginer against them.

"Matchmaking by MMR
Matches will be decided by MMR, rather than by simple ranking. This means you’re more likely to come up against someone of your skill level, rather than forcing lower-level players to face decks from the very top."
You get matched by your MMR the more you win, the higher MMR you get. A new player with 100 wins can have the same or better mmr than someone who has 500 wins.
The answer is simple. Here is an example.
A player with 100 wins out of 170 games played has a bigger mmr than a player with 500 wins out of 1500 games played.
Do you get it now?

Except it’s even simpler than that as we all started at 0 this month due to the new system. Come next month it should be “fairer” as even though rank resets each month, MMR does not. Still means your going to face a lot of players who have won more, got really expensive decks…and are “bad” at the game.
WoW u r so smart. U go to high school or what?
