Just look at the state of the game.
What most players don’t realize isn’t that there’s a couple of broken combos or broken cards. It’s that there are a lot of broken combos and broken cards. Some are just more broken and more abused than others. That’s why when one broken combo gets nerfed into the ground, another one quickly rises to take its place and people start complaining about that one. It’s not the first combo was broken and the second one wasn’t, or that the second combo was missed by blizzard. It’s that there are so many broken cards that lend themselves towards cancer, cheese, and abuse that blizzard can only really nerf them in small amounts at any given time. Any card that produces a disproportionately large swing in tempo or confers a massive amount of stats in one turn for an undercosted amount of mana or that can produce a win with little to no interactivity: is broken. I’m glad I quit this game. I popped in just to see how things were after a friend complained to me about the current state of the game. But looking at the cards, it’s patently obvious why this game is dying. They don’t print cards with interplay that provide some value or interesting interactions. Cards nowadays have to be completely over the top now and broken to be considered effective. Blizzard basically caved to the worst demographic in the card game and by serving the needs and wants of the gonzo /bananas crowd, you’ve increased RNG, cancer, and all the other negative components that damage a healthy gameplay experience. It’s not an accident that Firebat, Lifecoach, Kolento, Disguised Toast and Reynad have all voiced similar concerns and permanently left.
