New Shaman Legendary revealed!

Swampqueen Hagatha, 7 mana 5/5 Legendary minion for Shaman that adds a 5 mana 5/5 Drustvar Horror to your hand that casts 2 Discovered spells as a Battlecry effect.

This looks interesting as hell! The Shudderwock potential is insane!

I like this one so far a very flexible card and can be a win condition on its own.

Love it.
A less BS Tarim but a strong card that requires you to do stuff to win, unlike hero cards.
I’m glad they make again legendaries that are good for the games.
Like, there must be someone at the team going “but what if it’s a hero card that makes your spells cost 1 less whenever you play a card instead” whenever anything that’s not a chicken is printed

A good Shaman Legendary, finally. You guys think some form of tempo deck’ll use it?

It’s anti-tempo and full value so no lol.

Not sure how good it’ll be but definitely echo the excitement, fun card no doubt.

I don’t think it’s amazing with Shudderwock because you don’t get to chose the spells and some shaman spells are really bad, 5/5 casts double totamic might anyone

Not sure I agree. You still get the Shudderwock itself, AND all the effects it normally has. And you get an extra 5 mana 5/5 in hand, that costs two spells. If the spells are bad then it’s still a 5 mana 5/5, which can be nice if you are running low on hand size.
And also, I think the 5 mana 5/5 casts its two spells as a battlecry, so the two spells you originally selected will also be repeated by Shudderwock.

Hmm I hadn’t considered the 2 extra battlecries, it gets really hard to evaluate at that point, especially in shaman due to overload.

I still don’t think it’s amazing with Shudder but with the DK rotating maybe value decks might stand a chance and in that meta both this card and Shudder could do some damage.

I was also thinking about the potential in Wild - Doppelganster, Grumble and Swampqueen with Shudderwock? Combo in and of itself if you get the right spells to start off with. Lava Shock and Healing Rain to begin with and keep going from there.
Who needs Lifedrinker, am I right?

who needs a 7 mana legendary that gets your Shudderwok to fill your hand with random 5 mana 5/5’s and that has anyways a low chance to get you the right spells for shuddy? am I right?

I CAN DREAM, SHEERCOLD! ;A;

I really like the design of this card, but I worry that its too slow for shaman. Maybe if it was a 5 cost 3/3 and you could play the Horror in the same turn at 10 mana crystals, but then that might be too powerful. As much as I like this card I wonder if it will see much effective play?

I’m sure it will
Shaman is the one control class that can afford to spend mana for tempo before the late game, plus that 5 drop might be sweet removal and or healing

A more minion orientated control shaman would use this, like it used malestorm portal back in the day ( arcane explosion is trash)

You may be right, it just concerns me that a 5/5 drop that costs 7 mana and does nothing by itself is quite a tempo loss in the late game. It’s not a bad drop for a turn 7-8 play, but in the late late game could be damaging to lose that much tempo. I haven’t played much shaman for a while, apart from my meme Kragwa infinite evolve deck. I imagine you’d have to play it while you have board control or the tempo loss could be crippling late on

I will quickly point out that as it stands, in standard Shaman has no healing.

it depends, you get Hagatta the hero and 2 spells from her and Hagatta the Queen, I suppose if you do this you can be greedy enough to go for the grinding resources plan, plus Shaman can sometimes become very aggressive all of the sudden, even more when it gets random spells. You don’t need that much tempo after all, it’s for control decks, control decks don’t capitalize on tempo

Partly correct: Omega Mind is still a thing! And I suspect it’ll work with the horrors.

Also Healing Rain and Zilliax which is great in Shaman

…you mean the healing rain from kobolds?

this legendary pretty much confirms that until the next expansion this will be a hunter / shaman meta. i dont even need to see the rest of the cards in this set, it is so obvious at this point.

well, at least my investments for wild ladder hasnt been for nothing for the last 6 months.

Given that we have only seen a single hunter card from this expansion yet that’s kind of a stretch. Hunters are losing some big cards when the old expansion rotate out
