I am missing only Tombs of Terror and Galakrond’s Awakening. I am 99% sure each wing used to cost 700 gold each (?) but I just visited the store and now they sell for 1500 and 2000 runestones - a.k.a. real money with a nickname.
Please tell me they didn’t get THAT greedy…

I was right. I searched it and validated it across multiple sites. These jews don’t let you buy any Solo Adventure with gold anymore. They only accept runestones from now on, for all Adventures.

This isn’t a new change. You’ve never been able to buy any old adventure i.e. once it’s left standard, with gold. They’ve been £££ only since the very beginning when Naxxramus left standard, which is why there’s been many topics through the years asking why they can’t be bought with gold.

Yeah I get what you mean. Well, they let us buy packs with gold from old expacs, didnt they? they could do the same with solo adventures, especially now that gold is almost useless. Given that gold cant get you the battle pass, cosmetics and bundles anymore, would it be too much to ask for such an addition?
Same question has been asked for the last 6 years and to be honest it’s weird that they haven’t added it as it’s a gold sink.
I mean gold is far from useless as you can get packs with it. It’s only lost value for BG only players, most of which really won’t care about wild adventures…because they’re BG only
Yeah but before i could ‘miss out’ an Adventure and buy a cool bundle instead (which was fine back then). Now, i can’t buy nothing but packs or arena tickets, which i honestly don’t care about. Ofc that’s on me too, since my interests have shifted to BGs+Solos. Imagine the only modes you care of, are the ones you cant spend your gold on.
Either way, adding extra options would be nice for sure.

Nope. The fact I want more options to spend my gold on, doesn’t mean i haven’t spent real money on HS. Matter of fact, i’ve spent money across all formats (BGs, HS, Mercenaries). You know why? Because i wanted to. Wow! Who would have guessed?
If i dont want to spend cash but chip my hard-earned gold instead, in theory i should be able to, but im not since they offer literally 0 things to buy for people like me. Sure, if i go back to ladder later, then there will be options… but thats not the point.
If you dont let me spend my gold on a basic level that took my hours upon hours to grind, be sure that the next time i’d like to spend cash… well, i wont. Tit for tat. Thats how it goes mate.
Good for you. I spent $0 on this game and got everything I wanted. Imagine spending it on virtual things you don’t own. In theory, you can do many things. In reality, their platform, their rules. So either accept it or move on. Your call.
Technically one could obtain old adventures with gold nowadays still.
If you owned the first wing of the various adventures back when they first showed up, the rest of them always stay obtainable with gold.
Not applicable to OP but it is still possible, in theory.
Although I’m unsure if this was changed with the introduction of Runestones… Bloody hope not.
