I’m actually bored now. The meta is so oppressed by paladin it’s like pre nerf lunacy mage all over again. None of their cards lose value, everything requires at least 2+ cards to answer. Divine shield, +2/2 +4/4 +8/8, the secrets that generate too much value, the weapon value.
It has ONE negative matchup and that’s against rush warrior. You said you would monitor paladin post nerf so do it.
I’d like to add that the deck I’m talking about has a 68.7% win rate OVER 110,000 games played. Is that a large enough sample size? Give me a break.
Just build a deck that counters it. I’m like 70% win rate on secret paladins. Play outside of the meta, there are more decks than rush warrior and whatever is stated as top tier of the month lol. I am running a control hunter deck that owns secret pala, warlock, warrior and priest right now. Mage is 50/50 depending on card draw.

Just counter it 4Head. Lol I get what you’re saying, but I feel like I make a counter deck and it’s rubbish against things that aren’t paladin.
This HS, there is always one meaningless, ridiculous deck every season.
This season 2…Mage and Paladin.
Especially secret pladin, i’m tired of seeing.
One season, just one season, be normal, but impossible.
I’m afraid that with the rise of Rush Warrior, Paladin WR is going down which will eventually mean that it goes untouched. On the other hand if Paladin is dealt with, I fear that Rush Warrior will become the meta overlord and that posts like this will be about it.
Not saying that you are wrong, I’m playing Paladin and I agree with you that it has way too many tools. Just not sure how Team 5 can deal with Paladin without creating another problem.
I just don’t get why people aren’t playing around the secrets and rush minions. Put cards in your deck that allow you to steer the game. Taunt minions to mitigate secrets and force them at attack you, board clear, keep spells to burn on yogg and put late game cards in to deal with the extended match ups. Secret paladin and rush warrior really aren’t an issue, I don’t get why everyone is crying all over the place. It only really affects face decks, and it’s a good counter to them…
I don’t think the problem is secrets or not and rush minions are only relevant, like you say, at affecting face decks. The problem with Paladin is that it is good in too many things at the same time. For instance, you mentioned taunt minions and forcing them to attack you… I play Paladin and I’m more than happy to do that and win the game at turn 7. I rarely lack answers and I don’t even play secrets.
I do agree with you there after looking at it further, cards suah as hammer of the naaru and the card that upgrades the attack of minions aren’t balanced because they aren’t in line with other classes. For example a 6/6 taunt with a 3/3 axe for 6 mana Vs a warrior 2/5 taunt and 3/2 axe for 4 mana. The 6 mana card has WAY more value, the same with the paladin card getting upgraded at 3 mana when every other class is 5.
