Playing vs. BOT - 50% chance

Every 2-3rd player is a BOT which is either AFK, doing nothing except hovering over spells or repeatedly using hero power.

Especially in lower rank games where the new players arrive if anyone cares about them.

Could you please consider creating a REPORT system at least if it is so hard to clear game from cheaters.

Thank you

Ppl would abuse it on losses in general, especially on low ranks, i reach high legend now and i make friends , but b4 that i had many times that i would get a friend request after a game i won fairly , just to get a message i should die. Also know if you can provide video proof or proof in general someone is actual a cheater, you can make a report and they will investigate, but they wont ban someone just cause someone said and ppl with high winrate would all be flagged cheaters trust me !!!

these bots are far less frustrating that actual slow players. Because with the bots you know you will win for sure and you just can go watch some youtube video in the meanwhile.

I just had some frustratingly slow player wich still managed to win and taunted me afterwards. if i could report such people i would report them. I probably would not report those warrior bots because they are a free win and far less frustrating.

I also would report every single person playing with flavor of the month OP decks in wild. Like the warlock questline before it actually got banned, or the warrior pirate questline. Because those people were purposely ruining wild with extremely OP standard decks

Which is the exact reason that there isn’t a report button in game.

Yep, in a game like hearthstone it would simply get abused too much. I have said that myself a few times before in the past. You are not able to chat with other people or scam people so besides the bots wich blizz promotes with their current reward system there shouldnt be any real reason to report people. But i do feel like people wich spammed the warlock and warrior questlines in wild during the last expansion are on the same low level as the bots

One option for Blizzard would be to add a report button, but with a big red warning that abuse of the button will have consequences for the reporting player.
One false report … warning.
Two false reports … lose a few ranks.
Three false reports … 24 hour ban from playing.
Four false reports … full week ban.

And after the fifth false reports, another full week ban and permanent loss of the ability to report.

This would require blizz to set up some sort of customer service wich checks all reports. Wich is not going to happen. Why spent so much money and effort on something like that when reports are currently not even really neccesary as grieving or harrassing isnt really possible. At most its a handful of bots roping games and very few people abusing some actual bugs.

Besides 4 false reports and then a full week ban? thats pretty damned extreme i never see anything like that happen at all in any other game i have played. In fact false reports generally don’t get any punishment at all

Anyone here remember the Tribunal back in League of Legends’ heyday? Where actual players went through the chat log of a match and based on that made a judgement on whether a player broke the rules or not?

Those were fun times…

i havent played LoL in ages i think that got added after i stopped. Let me guess, people made sure to ban people for no real reason or let people go unpunished?

Yes. If I were to set up something like this at Blizzard, I’d want to set it up so that I get only valid reports of actual abuse. Check the forums and see how many people complain about opponents using a meta deck, or using their entire turn time. I do not want to have to double my staff just to deal with that nonsense.
So the system is set up to incentivise intended usage (reporting of deliberate trolling, offensive user names, etc) while at the same time severely dis-incentivise wasting Blizzard’s time by frivolous use of the report button.

I’ve never really got into League of Legends, but I have a friend who worked for Riot and she always talked about how hot Riot were on dealing with toxicity. From what I gather, LoL has one of the best systems in place for reporting disruptive behaviour and punishing guilty players for it. If they can do it, there is no reason other games companies can’t as well
