Its so annoying when you play APM build (like Pirates for example) and you have infinite money but most of your time goes to watch battle animations, i have to quit the game and reconnect so it skips the battle phase.
How is that better than having a skip button???
APM comps are already the strongest way to play generally. Giving everyone 40+ extra seconds is far from necessary.
Just be faster and optimise scaling when you have more money then you need. Ie. sell brann once you have golden privateer and admiral.
It still makes the game feel bad when you either have to lose lots of money (unable to spend it because slow combat animation) or just restart the game so you can skip the combat animation.
Its not even that much to ask, just a button to press if you want to skip combat animations, not even asking extra time on the clock to slow things down or anything like that. Not sure what would be the downside
Skipping combat literally directly gives you more time = more stats.
Personally i would just rather play the game than watch some animations that technically does not matter, the game has already decided the winner before the first attack starts. Not seeing a point watching them most of the time.
By watching the combat, you can highlight how you could improve your board to counter theirs. This can help greatly when it gets to the higher tiers and later stages. Just having the result gives you no information and this means its literally just meta vs meta with no variation in the hope you win. No wonder people think its nothing but luck if they aren’t even bothering trying to counter other players.
