I played 2 games back 2 back where my opponents played almost nothing but taunt minions for their maximum mana allotment and then purposely roped the rest of their turn, they couldn’t do anything else . Both players had chinese characters for names…not that I am pointing fingers but this is nonsense dragging games that should be a 10 to 15 minute game into a 25-30 minute slog of watching ropes…these jerks are literally wasting peoples time and just hoping the other person gets irritated enough to leave…we need to implement a system that allows other players to flag players doing this crap…after 3 consecutive ropes either remove them from the game auto loss or let players flag them so A. They can be tracked and removed
B. Give the person enduring this bullsh*t the ability to make it so you never match with them again
C. Gets this ridiculous tactic out of the game.
They are literally banking on peoples impatience to rank up its disgusting…its bad for the game period…you shouldn’t ever be roping 3 times in a row this game isn’t that complex…this isn’t Magic the Gathering there are not that many interactions to worry about…you get a card you play the card…you have no resources left you pass jerk, Not sit on there mousing over your cards whilst waiting for the damn rope. Speaking of Magic you know what happens in actual play when you screw around that long, a judge gets called they get a warning and upon repetition of slow playing they get a match loss…if they go into the next game and do it again they are suddenly disqualified for slow playing. No coddling them just oh you are a dbag fine, get out of here.

I disagree there is nothing wrong with roping unless its done on purpose only to frustrate you, but you cant prove that, Taking time to think your turn or even after you make your move use the time to think possible next moves since you have the time should not be discouraged.

There is no need to think about potential moves for your next turn, while you are out of moves in your current turn. There is time to think during your opponents turn. When someone is out of moves but waits for the rope several turns in a row it is nearly certainly on purpose.

No you are wrong. At least half of players are purposely doing it in which case i can safely say and calculate from behavior patterns then if that person is purposely doing it. There is a new trend on the go and if you want to see the worst end of it then play on asia.
What they do is highlight your hero as to try and annoy you. I gave my opponent his full round without desturbing him or distracting him in any way. Why can i not have the same respect.

Got to agree. Played one the other day, deliberately roping as a wind up. I went and made a cup of tea left him to play on his own. I still got my game play towards daily quest, but no pleasure in playing this sort of game and that is what a game should be about.

luv me some roping blud…like to annoy my opponents and well if they quit??? bonus.
Lets say they do in on purpose (i dont play on asia) how do you separate players that are thinking from players who do that, and how do you solve it? a report button would be abused, my win rates are good and sometimes not always i tend to think my moves and get to rope , a losing guy would just report me… at least at my current mmr it doesnt happen anymore but i used to get friend request after what i was consider a good game just to tell me to get cancer and die… that guy would have the option to report?
Just win them get the xp move on , from my experience ppl who tend to rope are not good players, they might win on occasion but in general they suck
I disagree. I will rope if someone plays some disgustingly OP questline deck in wild. If you want to play OP standard decks then stay in standard. If you choose to abuse an extremely imbalanced type of deck in wild then dont cry when others abuse the timer to annoy you back.
Roping has become far more common these days not because of annoying people to gain ranks. But to gain xp to earn gold for packs. Before the new reward system i certainly did not see bots like you see from time to time these days.
I dont rope when some plays a normal non OP questline deck. Pretty much only do this with the warlock, hunter and warrior ones.
And if i face someone wich ropes to gain xp? i just open another tab and watch a youtube video
Wild is for every dec every card , there is no play that card only in standard not in wild , also i am wondering what kind of player you are at wild, i guessing secret mage or raza priest? cause that the only decks i rarely see anymore every other deck i still see, they were both dominating and cancerous and i am happy quests made them absolete after so much time. Lets not pretend that wild is not consistent from 5 top decks if you are at diamond legend ranks , its not like you dont know what to expect every time you match
Nope i play neither of those, i like to play shaman alot. But there is a big difference between other expansion having very strong cards wich were used alot and the insanely strong questline rewards wich basicly can be done at turn 4. wich is faster than alot of the normal quests wich are supposed to be much shorter than the questlines.
Anyway in that regard roping also is part of the game, otherwise blizz wouldnt have changed the reward system from wins to time played. Its the same reason really. There is no reason why standard decks should crap on basicly all wild decks. If you like standard that much then stay in standard with those decks. Just like the warlock questline there are other questlines wich should be banned in wild.
Questlines are fairly weaker in Wild especially with the ability to tech in Dirty Rats in every deck.Of course, you can play around that by summoning the battlecry minion on the same turn you completed your quest.
Druids and Big Priests are much more problematic.
Where do you get that i like standard and not wild? what shaman you like? i reached legend with shudderwalk and reno shudderwalk , shaman can beat hunter easy , swap powers and discover a new one , he is actually the best in doing that cause he can draw specifically murlocks and he has access to draw low mana cost cards . but every shaman deck shudder or murlock use cards from current expansions just cause you dont like a card doesnt mean it should get banned. lock quest was just rediculous at wild and unbeatable that is why it was banned , hunter and warrior quest are good but you can beat them so its fine
It’s been years and this is still an issue. Blizz needs to make turns shorter.
lol I always rope players when I know i’m gonna lose lol
90s is fine it’s not that long if you shortening the turns you basically for using aggro only . But I suppose you want that
