Quest progress - frustrating

Whats the minimum you need to for the type: play X games with Y class? to count as valid.
I have played 9 turns and conceded (because of an un-winnable situation) and those games have not been counted. Its frustrating at times.

I agree.

If its full of classes i dont like/gace decks with then i just press turn without playing anything… its better than ditting through it

Sadly i dont know the Answer to your Question but i feel you :3

I believe the requirement is to have lost 15 life. There is also an x number of turns, in my head I’ve got 10, but no idea why, so I could be wrong on that.

I personally consider the current situation to be a bug.

The mechanism that causes it is intended to prevent people from just queueing up a deck and insta-conceding, which would of course be frustrating for their opponent (assuming they are looking for a real game, if they merely want to rank up they’ll rejoice).

Here’s what we know for sure:

  • If a game ends with one (or both) heroes at zero health and the portrait exploding, both players get credit for playing a game.
  • If a game ends with one player conceding, then the winner ALWAYS gets credit for playing a game. For the loser (the conceding player), it becomes fuzzy.

What we don’t know exactly is what triggers the conceding player to be get credit for playing a game. The theory I heard most is that the remaining health for one of the players is compared to 15. However, this check is done for the so-called “dominant” player, who is determined at start of game, and impossible for the player to find out (except for a few specific interactions where it can be deduced who is the dominant player).
So this means that it CAN happen that a conceding player does not get credit for playing a game when they have just 1 HP left, and their opponent was at 30 HP and 20 armour, if the opponent was the dominant player.

I still hope Blizzard will invest some resources to build a better check. I think it should at least factor in number of turns played, number of cards played, remaining health + armour of conceding player, and remaining health + armour of their opponent.
But until that happens, the best you can do if you have a “play (x) games …” quest is to not concede and just pass the turn and hope your opponent kills you quickly and without BM. Then you’ll always get the credit.

The game is already annoying ( mostly )
Don’t get angry, not worth it
