Questions about reward track

So I bought tavern pass and thought it would give me everything instantly but of course not, so I want to ask:

  1. How long will this particular rewards track stay? Because I assume when it ends my money has gone to void if I haven’t finished it (which is kinda bad) I read that it would change with next expansion but I don’t know when it started or how often expansions come. Is there an estimate or an average at which they rotate?
  2. Best mode to earn exp? How much I would need to play every day to finish it? How much would 3 or 6 hours get me in terms of progress?
  3. Can I casually stick to dailies and get it through?

Thank you for reading.

  1. Every 4 months upon a new expansion release the reward track will reset and you can spend probably another 20 euro for some cosmetic items.
A new expansion could be announced soon but with all the hassle on the direction that blizzard chose to implement these reward structures then maybe it could be delayed.

  2. i really dont know the value’s for the time spend on each match and the difference in winning or losing but they say you could earn around 400XP a hour with ranked mode/duels/battlegrounds and arena.
I never play casual somehow so cant tell if they give you expierence or less expierence.

  3. Yes, if you complete all of your weekly and daily quests then you will reach around level 55… a bit higher i guess with the tavern pass.

Thank you very much for answering! For now I will casually stick to dailies and weeklies then. It does seem promising.

Just to confirm add:

  1. Lasts the whole expansion. The estimates I’ve seen sees the pass giving 2000 extra gold, plus all the cosmetics but the more you play the more value it is (because outside the cosmetics it’s just the XP boosts extra).

  2. It’s only 300XP for BG but 400XP for the rest except casual is less. It’s not really worth worrying about min/max XP gain through playing, just avoid casual and play what you want, outside of completing quests.

  3. Without the pass you’ll get to the end of the regular track just with dailies/weeklies (around rank 55 is the estimate I’ve seen), so with the pass you should be absolutely fine.

The pass is great if you want to play real casual i.e. skipping quests now and then, or you plan to spend a lot of time on the game, as you’re end up with way more gold. If you’re in the middle it’s kind of like you bought value packs of your choice but get all the cosmetic stuff on top, so still not bad

My calculations tell me that with 2-3 hours/day, i should get around 2K gold more than without the pass provided that I do all the quests and try to do at least half of the achievements, but to be fair, achievements do not have that huge impact. Quests are important though. So 2K gold is like 20 packs for $20. And since I am addicted to the game, 2-3 hours are not a problem

I think most would be able to get to the end of the track if they have the pass. I’m not certain how it’d be for those without. With it only adding 150 on top of the xp needed for each subsequent level, it’s easy to work out how much you need to get to the end.

The one thing I would say could help, is if you keep an eye on the amounts of xp you get from quests, and reroll the lower ones. Each time I see a daily one at around 900 now, I chance rerolling it and get it to 1,100, and the same with the lower weekly ones. I imagine over the course of 2-3 months, that’d help a bit.

The weekly ones are fixed, 7 ranked wins gives 2500, the other 2 give 1750, so there’s no need to reroll those to try for more XP.

Dailies a few give 800, most give 1000, a few very rare give 1500. You should pretty much always reroll the 800 ones at least the day you get them.

Is it even possible to reroll from 800 to 1000? I though that rerolling always gives 800 XP quest (or 50g quest in the old system).

But the 800xp ones are kinda nasty, if you really want to max out your xp earnings then the 800xp quest is so easy to complete that you can not play any game outside of battlegrounds.

You know, destroy 30 minions or draw 25 cards or something arounnd those lines.
That 200xp missing is not that much of a problem to me then it could be for you :stuck_out_tongue:

So far I’ve been “forced” to complete 1 800XP quest, every other one I’ve managed to roll past. Think it’s only gone 800 into 800 4 or 5 times (there’s way more 1000 quests than anything else). Some of times I was only gona speed through the quest that day, so just left it, once I was in a BG mood so just played BG that day and 1 time I figured I was gona play more that 30 minutes so I’ll just take the hit.

The old system was (earlier, I think start of this year) changed to give you a 50g quest if you rerolled a 60g quest. Rerolling a 50g quest could give either a new 50g, or a 60g (or better),

I don’t know if this logic was carried over to the new system. I do know that I have several times already received a 1000xp quest after rerolling an 800xp quest.
