Quitters really ruin the experience

I’ve been playing since launch and the only thing I’d really like added to the game is an option to continue playing (the computer) when a player leaves a match, gives up, or is disconnected. I understand there are many trying to get as many games in as possible for whatever reasons but I just wanna play the game. It’s frustrating to have everything going excellent during a match only for the other player to bail ESPECIALLY when you’re about to win the match. It’s nothing huge but it would improve my overall experience. Figured I’d say something to see if anyone agrees or if anyone can think of unforeseen circumstances to this change.

I imagine it would take too many resources to even consider that an option (you’d need thousands/millions of bots on stand-by). I don’t agree at all to be honest as I see my opponent quitting when they can’t win, functionally the same as me dealing the final blow (although I actually do let my opponents finish me off, even if a sub-set like to BM rope the whole turn for whatever reason).

The only time it’s a tiny bit annoying is if I’m doing a quest/achievement and them leaving stops me getting it but I just see that as part of the challenge.

It sounds to me it will create more problems that it would solve (and i dont think it solves anything)
First of all in case of disconect…it happened to all of us at some point cause of a bug or internet went down a second , (at least my experience most of the times i managed to connect back in time through phone or by restarting hearthstone and worst case scenario was i missed a turn or didnt had enough time to think my play it never robbed me a win tbh, if a system would notify you saying player left want to continue would be bad for the game . First clicking no would grant you a win and not giving me the chance to reconnect, Second clicking yes , and computer playing my deck , would not be optimal it would play bad or cards that shouldnt be played that turn and when i reconnect it would be a bad experience for me)
If opponent concedes or alt f4 its fine move on , having a program pop up just for you to play your combo or have your win, seems a waste of recourses for them
Lastly i believe it would create more problems and solve nothing cause if something isnt broken why fix it, for example ppl could abuse it right nowthere are many interactions in the game that can have you disconected and you wouldnt know it so free wins for the abuser
Sum it up the system is fine as it is atm , so let it be

I hope one day they let achievement be done in casual also or other modes that ppl are more chill… cause i feel you some of them are horrible to trying to do in ranked format

I can’t agree with that all… First of all… Disconnecting is enough big problem in itself for the enemy when it is happening… usually can’t reconnect in time and waisting a turn which may lead to an instant lose… waisting his deck by an AI while he is away is even bigger problem…

Secondly, if they create a good AI then it might make you lose even a worse way than the player could… Can you remember to solo mode or just try the Advanced practice BOT… Do you really want that?.. You won’t mind if the BOT manage to defeat you and give the win to the disconnected player, right?

Until the rope is burning you have more time to think of something for your next move. I am more frustrated when I reconnect and the rope is still burning… it should stop rightaway in my opinion because that is still a problem… it is not enough that you manage to reconnect but your turn is still almoast missed… The rope should stop burning when the player is back and moving the mouse, cursor to choose a card.

Sounds very exploitable as you can restart your game to get more time (this is presuming you can think whilst reconnecting).

Yes, I see your point and you are right… but it is a real problem for real disconnected players like me… They should just fix the servers to avoid disconnects then… :\ That would be the best of course…

Yes! So true! It’s so annoying.
But it seems most people don’t care, think it’s a waste of resources, or that it somehow can and will be exploited. Sad.
I guess the only way to avoid this then is either to play singleplayer stuff since it’s an A.I. to begin with or friendly games since you can talk to them. (In case you’re interested I created a group in battle.net to find people to play friendly games with. Just let me know.)
