Secret Mage Vs. Big Priest

Anyone playing wild unless you have god tier luck knows about Big Priest. You sit there and question your life choices while your opponent spams Obsidian Statue and Convincing Infiltrator along with a whole army of other legendaries that give them huge advantage. You then concede and quit hearthstone for all of 5 seconds because you don’t have an addiction the game is just fun.

Then came Secret Mage. It’s got AOE, burst damage, immunity, armor and more importantly, it kills you very quickly. Usually you’ll be on turn 8 if you survive their onslaught and they’ll heave 2 cards in hand and those last 2 will be 2 fireballs that win them the game.

So my question is, which do you hate more, Secret Mage or Big Priest? Personally I hate Secret Mage more as there is an easy way to beat Big Priest and that is speed. Any fast deck can deal with it easily such as murlocs or lackeys, especially in warlock with things like plague of flames and demon bolt in zoo type decks.

I personally despise big priest the most, because while there’s a way to counter it I don’t want to switch my class, my style, my archetype and 10 cards in the deck in order to beat the match up

Big Priest wins if he draws and recruits specific cards. There is no skill involved in playing it and no skill involved in countering it. Roll the dice and win or not. It is the single worst thing in the Wild meta for more than a year because this casino style outcome is meta defining.

Secret Mage is immensely annoying, unrelenting and excruciatingly hard to play against. It is, in many ways, the Mage equivalent of Odd Paladin and Even Shaman. Hence, while strong and head ache inducing, it is a fair and legit archetype.

I will never be upset for losing 100% of my games against Secret Mage, Odd Paladin, etc. I am upset as soon as I face a Big Priest, even if I win 6 out of 10 games.

Ended up playing as Big Priest because I had most of the cards so my crafting expenses were far less than other hands.

So it was needs must…

I don’t play wild, But I remember the time when Raza priest was plaguing the meta.

You were suppose to destroy the big priest, not join them! You were suppose to bring balance to the hearth, not leave it in shadow
