Shamans-Tier 1 in Arena as well?

I’ve just completed a flawless Arena with Contrrol Shaman. 12-0.

Perpetual Flame is just bonkers, and being able to discover it with Guidance which also costs nothing puts these spells on top of the spell heap. I also had 2 Lilypad Lurkers and several more Elementals for hexing.

Well HSReplay has it as 9th out of the 10 classes (only Rogue is worse), so I guess you just had an OP deck and played it really well :slightly_smiling_face:

Really? Shaman has strong class commons and rares, and very good removal.
I wonder why it’s rated low.
I would have thought Druid was last.

I have the deck saved on HearthArena, but I don’t know how to share it here, outside of creating it in-game and posting in text.

Oh, man. I just love playing Control in Arena. It’s fun.

You have to remember they weight the cards appearances on power not rarity anymore in an act to try and balance the mode, so maybe those strong cards in you’re deck appear less frequently than you realise.

Here’s the deck list, by the way.
Yea. I admit, a pretty crazy draft

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

Well that’s definitely an excellent curve, but surprising it went 12-0. Having a look at https://www.heartharena.com/tierlist and you don’t have any of the “best” cards. Luckily it’s the deck as a whole, as well as the pilot that matters the most :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks, man.

The average tier score for this deck was 71.7.

I’ve done way worse with higher value drafts. The curve is important in Arena.

It had a solid minion base as well. A bunch of them have removal capabilities and some generate card advantage.

I’m especially surprised by the 12-0 because of how stranded those Primordial Protectors were.

Although I suppose they acted as activators for the Lilypads.

True,they were.

I was playing on the weekend too, and Arena is noticeably easier then. Still, there were tough battles in the end.

I’ve been playing Hearthstone for 7 years and this is only my second 12-0, so such runs are rare. Though I have a fair amount of 12 win Arenas under my belt.

I have this superstition which was reinforced more than enough that if I leave an Arena midway and then continue another time, then my winning streak will cease and I will lose the rest of the matches. So, this Arena was played without interruptions, as were most of my most successful runs.

And I just kept my cool and focus and went on winning Sometimes, if I do well enough, I start to get nervous and then botch a game. This time it was smooth sailing till the end.

Well it makes sense with arena because you forget exactly how best to play the deck if you take a break.

It’s a bit annoying that when they added the stats they didn’t back date them as my 12 win runs with every class (pre-DH) are lost to the ether. Not sure how many 12-0’s I had but it was a fair few. Was a nice surprise when they back dated the ranked win counts. I went from only Druid being sub 500 (not DH) and no 1000 wins, to Druid being upped to 600+ and Mage and Paladin being well over 1000. Not bad considering I “retired” over 3 years ago

Grats on the perfect run, SashaFleyder!

Sounds like your skill and experience did a lot of work as well to get the best out of the deck. Well done!

Thanks, and I’ve made it to Legend just now,
Though I will say, Elemental Shaman is so easy to play. It almost feels like cheating.
