I was watching Zeddy on YouTube and thought I would give this a go as so sick of rng in this game and needed a break. I’m playing mage as can’t stand demon hunters. It’s been refreshing so far as there is so little rng with the basic cards. It’s fun to slowly earn packs and make changes. Just swaped in a flamestrike for a senjin shieldmaster lol. Also opened a golden brightwing in my 3rd pack. Took me nearly 3 years to get my first golden legendary on main account. If playing a newbie I tend to let them win tho any demon hunters I try and defeat as they shouldn’t really be allowed from the start in my opinion. Up to level 30 and got kronx from first outlands pack. Been getting lucky with the packs so far. Might give rogue a go when I move on from mage.
Yeah the new player experience is in a pretty weird spot, where if you know what your doing, it’s actually pretty good, but if you don’t (i.e. actual new players) a few mistakes can set you back literal months.
Then after you get past the new player stuff, it’s a pretty harsh grind, which has at least been made more reasonable by making all the commons/rares easily accessible from each set. Then you’re kinda stuck playing very few good decks, until next April, when having 3 sets rotate lets you “catch up”.
Good luck in whatever your aim is, I personally don’t have the patience for it
