I only play BG solo queue, unless I am invited to play duos with somebody premade. After I’ve done that and want to play solo again, I usually en up leaving an unwanted duo game, since my queue has unknowingly to me, been set to duo.
This is annoying for me, my random teammate and everyone involved. Please fix this, since it will cause a lot less round 1 leaving in duo BG’s.
So what you do then is to press the button to switch mode after you have played with someone, if you want to set it up for solos the next time you launch the game.
There is literally different backgrounds for the game modes, if you only take a couple of seconds to recognize it you won’t have that issue going forward.
If you would default to Solo Battlegrounds you would still have to change to duos if you wanted to play with a friend, so you would have the same problem but in the opposite way.
And I would like to add that if you accidentally queue up for duos as a solo player, don’t leave and accept your fate. You might have your preference how you play the game, but don’t punish other people just because you couldn’t be arsed to check which game mode you are playing 
Just cause this is the only thread on the EU forums (the reason I made it) doesn’t mean it is the only one around. Many people have requested this and it is not abundantly clear nor are you asked to confirm it. I am also quite sure it is the reason we see so many people leave on round one in duos. Seems like an easy fix, which should have been imlemented a long time ago. If I never change a setting, it shouldn’t change by itself. Seems reasonable right?
And no, I do not feel obligated to do something I don’t enjoy for half an hour.
