Swapping cards in the start

If you swap out some cards in the start. Then one of them shouldn’t be the first card a draw. Seriously, how incompetent are your developers

too true cuz too true.

When I play warlock I often have the card in hand which give 4 health back when drawn. /sigh

when you get same cards after mulligan OR you get same 2 cards in your opening hand it is usually a sure fire sign that the algorithm has decided you have won too many games and your about to lose

Considering i have times where i keep losing, this dosen’t seem true. But again, blizzard is a joke of a company, with incompetent developers

So you are saying that when the game shuffles the deck after the mulligan, it should not be a fair and random shuffle? You want Blizzard to rig the RNG?

The RNG is already a joke

Then why are you still playing this game?

Move on. Find a game where you do still trust the engine to treat you fairly.
Based on what you post here, it’s clear that nothing anybody writes here will convince you that this game does not stink. So I won’t waste my time trying, and I suggest you stop wasting your time on a game you don’t enjoy any more. Spare time is too valuable to waste on games you don’t like.

I agree. I have also quit the game a couple of times before. It isn’t only about the engine. But just the developers that are incompetent, that seems to know nothing of games and the games they work on.
I was playing duel. The first passives i got was pretty much a joke. One that i couldn’t use. The opponent i ment next, of course had gotten a good one, where his minions attacks equals their health. So he was able to destroy me in a few rounds

You seem to complain a lot about randomness doing random things.

Perhaps consider switching to chess?

This BS just happened to me in tavern brawl, where i didn’t build my own deck. i got 5+ cards. Then i swapped them all. I just got new 5+ cards

Insomnia , Bighugger is a payed blizzard monkey, they will defend the game either way

So, you play a card game (that has RNG by nature) and play the Tavern Brawl (the most random of random you can get) and complain about the randomness? That is something.
Again, this is the nature of the game. They never publicized Hearthstone as the “100% strategic no RNG” game, but as a card game, with standard draw mechanics. So you’re telling me you would play a physical card game like Magic, do the mulligan, and would still complain that after shuffling the deck you drew out of bad luck some high cost cards right away?
Probably card games are not meant for you, if you don’t like the core mechanics of the whole genre. As Big says, you could try chess, played it professionally when i was a teenager and it’s a fun game with no randomness, pure skill and ability.

I hate that when it happens to me xD even the shards that heal 2 that sometimes get drawn all together or when not needed.

That dosen’t mean the pick phase should be a joke. The game is just a joke. Blizzard seems to lack competent developers

23,000,000ish players would disagree lol

Blizzard releasing the stats has made me feel slightly better about the game. I would be interested to know how that figure compares to other card games.

I also wonder how many players they have lost/gained within that figure, if it went up or down on the previous year.

23 million players across all regions for the entire year during a global pandemic and yet only 271 million tavern brawls played.

Think about that for a second and what the those stats actually mean

Idk, maybe, it means that most of the players just play Tavern Brawl to get one win? OR what do you think that means?

I don’t know, I only play brawl for the pack. If it’s a rubbish Brawl, I don’t even bother.

I am not sure it’s seen as a main mode in Hearthstone.

I honestly thought there were more then 23 million HS players, especially considering globally.

Probably out of those 271 million games of Tavern Brawl half are mine, my best friend and Roga, cause we play them a lot and are our favorite modes hahaha.
But again, it’s not a main mode, it’s pure causality most of the time, it’s there to play for the pure fun of it. Complaining about it seems so pointless, especially if you use it as a weapon to attack people who work and try to make the game as best as they can.

Wow, you guys must play a lot of games on Brawl :grinning:

I don’t think anyone is attacking Brawl mode mate. I think on occasion the Brawl is too hard or based on all card collections so I can’t play those and sometimes they just seem too complicated. No one can argue with a free pack and I am hugely grateful and thankful to the devs for this perk. I am certain most people feel the same.
