Uther, the Misunderstood

Uther was in a good mood. He spent the afternoon bringing light and polishing is big war hammer. As the night fell he felt like having a game of cards, so he went to the tavern. He saw Anduin in the distance bragging about how he can, with one single card, bring 30 or more worth of mana in just one turn. No one said it out loud but many were thinking that Anduin was a mana cheater.

“This won’t be easy, but it’s worth a shot.” thought Uther as he picked the chair in front of Anduin. As Uther took his deck from his armor pocket, Anduin saw him and went away running and throwing a fit. “I don’t want to play against you, Uther! You are a cheater because you only count every other number! It’s not fun when there’s a chance I can lose!”

Uther shrugged… No point explaining to the spoiled brat that Baku and the never ending army of recruits weren’t part of his plan.

Malfurion approached, they greeted each other and started playing. Uther seemed to be playing divine shield minions and mechs but Malfurion noted that hoarders and engineers were bringing cards to Uther. Malfurion started to win the board, first slowly, then snowballing fast. Y’Sera was recruited as Malfurion smiled with the win so close to him he could smell it. Then he looked at Uther’s eyes and his spine chilled. In front of him was no longer the Lightbringer but the one of the Ebon Blade… and, awkwardly, a Banana Buffoon…

Malfurion sped up. A friend approach Uther telling him that he may get some free cards if he wins. Uther of the Ebon Blade sent Emperor Thaurisan to the match, looked at his friend and whispered “I already won.”

Seeing defeat approaching, Malfurion tried to mill some of Uther’s cards hoping to make the second buffoon miss the table. Beardo, followed by two bananas and finally… the coin that Uther held since the game began conjured the four horsemen.

No one understood Uther that Night. Anduin thought he could only count odd numbers. Malfurion thought he was the Lightbringer, and that he needed 3 bananas, when in fact he had a coin to spare and when we count the horsemen we always find them to be an even four.

I may have gotten 3 DKnights, but Uther of the Ebon Blade wasn’t one of them and now I’m just jealous.:nauseated_face: I honestly thought he was the best one.

If only Malfurion had milled that Thaurissan…

Uther of the Ebon Blade got an upgrade with Banana Buffoon. The combo is a lot more consistent now.

That’s a move reserved for pros only. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Your statement doesn’t make me feel any better. I’d craft him, if I had 1600 dust, but he’s in wild and I just spent 400 dust on a second soulwarden…

RNG does it again! :clown_face::joy::ok_hand:
