so you forked out 7000 gold on this mid expansion adventure? and you are happy about it?
The burden of proof is on you, mate. You said those cards are needed to be competitive in the current meta. You need to provide proof.
the burden is on you having a clue what the f you are talking about on the forums…check top pro player decks 90% have cards from the adventure…they are not using these cards because they are prettier than the old ones ye?..do i need to explain anything further and are we gonna continue this discussion in retard mode or can we have some real talk now?
I suppose since you’re not going to provide proof that even a single one of those cards are irreplaceable, I (And everyone else) can just dismiss your claim. After all, statements made without evidence can be dismissed just as easily as they are made.
dood every freaking card in this game is replacable right…the end result is better or worse deck…ffs please dont …ok?..just dont…if you gonna take the role of a tard do it on someone elses thread ok
You’re the one who’s calling people names rather than making compelling arguments.
Roga, I find this to be an interesting topic nonetheless.
I looked up the playrates of those cards and the most played one seemed pretty decent. it’s called frenzied felwing and it does look like a reliably 0-1 mana 3/3.
so I guess my question is do you (or anyone else with an open mind) care about discussing possible replacement cards for the (best) adventure cards?
if the “all the pro players are using the cards, and its not because they are priettier” isnt enough argument for you then please dont respond anymore…they use them since they are bettere than older ones in same decks…and yes, they can be replaced by worse ones and make a worse deck if you dont plan to invest 30€ for the adventure or grind months for gold by the time they will be irelevant <- HERE SHERLOCK …theres your argument…now please…you give me your compelling argument about why am i wrong and you are right and make an argument about whatever you want to make an argument about thats relevant to the topic besides me making a valid argument and giving you proof…
I came into this topic with the objective of showing you that maybe these cards that you mentioned can be replaced, even if they might be a bit worse than what was given. And you admitted it, therefore I am happy with what came of our discussion, even if you called me names without me prompting any such hostility.
As for your original topic… I agree, it was dumb of Blizzard to just dump it out like this with a pricetag equal to that of a sizeable bit of DLC in a CD Projekt Red game. Thankfully I stopped paying for Blizzard’s stuff. Maybe in the future we might see some sort of return to more worthwhile pricetags for these kinds of things, like 20€ for the whole set’s contents.
But until that day comes, I’ve sworn off buying things from Blizzard. And Activision’s own games were already on my sh*tlist anyway.
you wrote 3 posts in a row askjing for proof and i wrote 5 times already that if you check top meta decks you will find new cards in most of the decks…i find it hostile that you didnt read the discussion and just started writing jibberish out of the blue and in the end you agree with me…seriously…focus please
Actually that third post was just me pointing out how you called me names. And your 4th post did not contain stuff about top meta decks, just asking me to be a “tard” elsewhere while acknowledging what I was hoping to hear.
Either way, there’s no more need for us to talk, you can get back to talking with khisana if you want to discuss possible replacements for the best adventure cards. Have a good one!
no dude, I was asking you ;). I doubt there’s any discussing with him unless one agrees.
Well, you did say anyone with-
oh. oh.
Well that’s just rude now ain’t it?
Eh, either way, I’m sad that Happy Ghoul isn’t in Standard cuz that would have been one of my first options.
if it is, I sincerely apologize.
to reiterate: I wanted to ask you if you wanna discuss it.
in addition I asked if anyone else wanted to discuss it with us. however I narrowed this “anyone else” down to include only those people, who are willing to keep an open mind as opposed to those who immediately go for the jugular as soon as anyone doesn’t fully agree with them.
discussing with those people is tedious at best.
and if it isn’t clear by now, I do include you in the group of people that I consider to have an open mind.
anyway, I looked at some cards. it’s probably a relatively dumb idea to look for replacements for cards in general. every deck works differently, so different replacements are required a think. there are a number of 2 mana 3/2s for example that would fit the bill I think, depending on the deck.
but there’s also the option to go for different tech cards. looking at dragon hunter (which relies a lot on frenzied felwing), I found a 58% win rate deck that uses secrets instead. that’s opposed to the 61% win rate best deck. both at equally laughable sample sizes.
but after dealing with this subject now again I gotta say that I don’t feel particularly enthusiastic about it anymore. there’s only so much negativity that I can stomach for a day.
I don’t have hsreplay premium, so the best I can do at a pinch is look at the latest tempostorm meta snapshot, as they tend to focus on what they believe are the most powerful decks at the top ranks rather than overall win rate (it might be a week out of date but still a reasonable source).
3 T1 decks:
Dragon hunter: Rotnest Drake - quoted as the reason it’s now a top tier deck.
Highlander Hunter: was already in T1, Rotnest Drake makes some lists but is easily replaced as not a core card.
Tempo Rogue: was already T1, but you do want Sky general Kragg, plus some other cards.
So out of the top 3 decks, 2 of them do require the adventure. Maybe the meta has shifted but whilst I think it’s untrue to say you’re forced into getting it to stay at the top, it really does limit your options if you don’t.
When it might actually become a problem is when the next expansion is released, as the smaller pool of cards makes it more likely that adventure cards will be core cards in all the top decks.
If that happens and I don’t have the money or gold to keep up, then I will stop playing HS and move on with my life. Will people laugh at me because I stopped playing HS? Yes they will. Will women refuse to have a relationship with me because I couldn’t keep up with HS? Yes they will. Will companies refuse to do business with me because I quit HS? Yes they will. In other words, will my life get worse because I don’t play HS? Yes it will.
What can I say? C’est la vie!
When that happened i had made a mediocre desucion in the past which affects My present temporarely in a really small way and i will regret that i paid that 70 Euro and then ill move on with my life and play something else
Probably trying to avoid those kind of mistakes in the future
yes exactly my point…giving actiblizzard any money to support their games is a mistake that is now rectified for future since they will freck you over sooner or later
Bornaa, I’m curious: for how long have you been playing Hearthstone, and how frequent do you play it?
I ask you this because I haven’t payed to play Hearthstone since 2018 or so, but my dust and gold management is just fine. After playing this game for about 4 years now, I enjoy my collection and can compete just fine in both standard and wild.
Time, experience and patience makes this a fine F2P game in my book.
Mind you, I do not always agree with Blizzard’s actions either but I disagree with your frustration towards Blizzard.
5 years…and by fine you mean you are around rank 10 each season right? thought so and theres your answer
