What do you listen to ? ( Music )

Since my youtube playlist always has the same recommendations i need some different inputs for my playlist.

Let me start,

I cant post links (and im to lazy to mess around with them on phone)
But i usually listen to music from a youtuber called Gooseworx

Either the older rock/punk/metal songs (no general band preference other than Rammstein) or Powerglove, Korpiklaani, Charon (mainly the song Ride on Tears), Sabaton and Nanowar of Steel. I also listen to Cpex (Dutch)

I’m gonna post each and every artist that I think is relevant (for example everyone knows Metallica Queen and Eminem and there’s not much to speak about it as a fan, things that other people wouldn’t know) and a few recommendations of songs.

System of a down: Hypnotize, Aerials, Radio, Chop Suey
Amy Winehouse: Rehab, Valerie, Love is a losing game
The cranberries: Zombie, When you’re gone, Linger
R.E.M.: Losing my religion, Orange Crush
The doors: Roadhouse blues, The end
My chemical romance: Kill all your friends, Ghost of you, The sharpest lives
David Bowie: Starman, Space oddity, wild is the wind, Lazarus
Nina Simone: I put a spell on you, Sinnerman
Stevie Wander: Masterblaster, Fragile, I am free
The police/Sting: Roxane, Message in a bottle, shape of my heart

BEST FOR LAST:
Pink Floyd
there’s a lot of different songs from them in many different styles so I’ll try some highlights
Another Brick in the wall pt 2, One of my turns Confortably numb Time, Have a cigar, pigs three different ones, a pillow of winds
Shine on you crazy diamond

That’s the most of what I’ve been listening to the past year, maybe too much of an answer :))

I listen to a lot of stuff. My top bands are Metallica and Moonspell but to be quite honest I rarely listen to them. Here are some albums that only the singles are known but that are amazingly good:

  • Counting Crows: August and Everything After (Mr. Jones is the single and arguably the worst song in the album)
  • Santana: Supernatural (not a single song in this album is below excellent)
  • Pink Floyd: The Wall (I play this double album in repeat for hours)

Have fun!

the only thing that I listen to that would be somewhat fitting with your given examples is frog leap studios. it’s a dude that makes metal covers of pop songs.

for an example (and my favorite song of his) search ā€œleo moracchioli africaā€ on youtube.

That dude is awesome! If you like that stuff search for the YT channel 10 second songs.

I’m very much partial to instrumental versions of various songs from various metal bands of all sorts and genre variations when I look for writing inspiration for a forum-based roleplaying group I’m in. But regular ones also work. I also occasionally enjoy some video game OST in my playlist.

Wolfheart - Draconian - Insominium.

I also listen to 15 seconds unskippable adds on occasion, like between every song in ā€œthe wallā€
Vlad knows there’s many!
