What now? Is that it?

Think about every HS streamer/YouTuber that you ever follow for a while, and remember if they have ever said: I hate this game. They all have. We all have. So why play a game that you sometimes hate? While a streamer/YT is motivated by also getting subs and attention, os that doesn’t stream is bound to the game by intertainment and that little rush of endorfines that sparks in our brains when we win or do something amazing. This spark has to way out the amount of frustration we get for losing or making a misplay. And YES blizzard, losing a game to RNG is especially frustrating.

The game is once again plain and if you wanna win, you don’t get to play fun decks or even challenging decks. Just play what hsreplay says and mulligan correct, then you will probably get legend.

This is the begging of the end. For me at least. I’m gonna try out Mercenaries when it comes, but the game has lost its fun and challenging aspect, and with all of these game mechanics coming and going it is always gonna end up in Blizzard trying to balance the meta without getting it right.

See you out there. Hope you have more fun then me with this game or else consider why you still are playing it…?

Well for me I hate it very rarely, which is why I still play. For instance I used to grind arena but got burnt out on the mode and it became unfun, so I stopped playing it. Now I most just okay fun decks where I don’t care about my wr and occasional binge battlegrounds.

So I completely agree with the sentiment behind your post, except the question you propose of “why play something you sometimes hate?” because there are few things in life you enjoy 100% of the time. Will say that if dailies still had win conditions, I might have actually stopped playing a while ago, but being able to do them super casually means it’s a fun grind that lets me enjoy the longer sessions when I feel like it and I I’df I get a hate moment during those I just close the game and do something else :slightly_smiling_face:

I really fail to see the point you are making.

Yes, streamers sometimes say they hate the game, yet still continue to play. Well, gee. It’s their job. Have you never once in your life hated your job? Yet still continued to work? After all, you gotta feed the kids, right?
You say they do it for subs and attention? No. Well, subs, somewhat. They do it for the money. Just like you go to your job for the money.

Do I sometimes hate the game?
Yes.
That’s when I close the game and go do something else. After a while I’ll want to play it again, and enjoy myself.

Well, d’uh.
If you wanna travel by plane, you won’t have the pleasure of a long train ride. If you want to enjoy the views from a train, you’ll have more travel time.

Or a more apt comparison, suppose you like playing football. Do you want to play at the highest level you can achieve, fine, but the price is daily strength training, three tactical trainings each week, and no drinking the night before a big game. Do you just want to kick the ball during the one weekly training, play a fun game with friends, and then hit the bar with them afterwards? Also fine, but don’t expect to be scouted for national leagues.

You’re complaining that you can’t have your cake and eat it. Well, that’s not new. That’s always been the case, and always will remain the case. And you’ll find that whatever other hobby you pick up has the same “issue”, that competitive and relaxed fun are mutually exclusive.
