every player I have been paired with just looks like they have no clue what they are doing at all finding a player that isnt retarded is proving difficult.

The matchmaking system has been broken for a long time. Even though I was 5k+ I was still teamed with players who obviously had just installed the game. They literally didn’t know how to play. Even the basics.
That is what is happening to you. I also see it with the so-called ‘top players’. They obviously play with a different system because they are high MMR but their opponents absolutely suck. The proof is out there on the internet, just watch a few videos/streams.
I cannot believe that a player like Jeef’s opponents are so poor. The guy is 20k+. His opponents should be the best in the world, but they are so poor its no wonder the guy keeps on winning. If we had those opponents we would also be 20k.
So, yes, you are right, its the matchmaking system that is non-functional.
