Look at this lovely fellow… I wouldn’t mind so much but I wasn’t even BM’ing, I said well played at the end. You seem to be able to get away with this on HS though for some reason

Obviously they are in the wrong but to me if you’re the winner and emote “well played” first at the end of a game it comes across sarcastic gloating, no matter the intent.
Down side of text and even worse emotes is that there’s no way to detect the tone behind it.
@RainMan999 - Naming and shaming is a violation of the TOS of this forum. I suggest you edit your post and remove the name of the other player. If you feel someone violated the rules, you can report them from the Battle-Net client (a more direct in-game report function is announced, but not sure if it’s there already).
@Ixnay - I consider it common decency to emote “Greetings” at the start of the game, and “Well Played” at the end, regardless of who won. If anyone has a problem with that, then that is, in my opinion, a “them” problem.
Excessive emoting is when people emote (almost) every turn. That’s very annoying but that what the Squelch button is for. It’s never an excuse to harass people in chat.

I believe the proper order should be “well played” at the start, and “greetings” as you deliver the killing blow.
I mean if you think “HA Well Played” (that’s one of the voice lines) doesn’t come across sarcastic in a one sided game then fair enough.
I say well played if I’ve lost and will respond if my defeated opponent emotes. Otherwise to me it just feels like kicking them when they’re down.
He wishes cancer on my mother and I’m the bad guy for naming him. What a world we live in

when i the battle starts the first thing i do is mute the opponent.
i mostly greet when i just beat the opponent. (except when it’s not a OP loser class or i won easy)
when they can beat me i wait till rope nearly ends and then i use the emote at the bottom right. and concede so they can’t finish me off (for eventually achievements)
No i am not a toxic person, it’s the matchmaking that made me a player like this, i am trying to complete daily’s and always i get a counter. it feels like the game is giving my opponents a free win. their always good cards versus my deck. always the mages, priests, and now druids. i can’t be friendly anymore. i am only friendly against hunters, thats the class i play. except when they have such a good card draw and i HAD no chance to do a single thing.
things that make me even more mad is, counter spell, armor in standard, spells that copy my cards, silence, minion stealing, fully selfheal, transform spells (sheep)
actions made when timer is already gone, bots.
But you don’t need to win to complete dailies anymore, so if that’s your only goal, why does it bother you?
(I think if it was still 5 wins per day for 60g I would have quit a while ago)
The text on my screen that I click is “Well Played.”
I personally hate how some of the actual voicelines for some of the heroes are, for all emotes. But I play with random heroes (and random cardback), and I do not try to keep up.
I understand where you are coming from. But to me, I just want to see well played after a match. I would only withhold that if I genuinely think someone really played terribly bad.
I never called you a bad guy. I just pointed out the rules of this site. No idea whether they are enforced or now. Your choice whether you take the risk.
You may have noted that I ALSO pointed out the correct method to report bad player behaviour. A method that, unlike shaming a player here, might actually result in taking action against the offending player.
First you describe several behaviours that have only one single target: to annoy your opponent. And then you claim you are not a toxic person.
Well, I’ll take your word for it but then I need to compliment you on how excellent you are at pretending to be what you are not and behaving as what you are not.
And you blame it on “the matchmaking”. So even if it is true that Blizzard has decided to screw you over and give all your opponents easy wins (because reasons, I assume), even then you have chose to punish innocent people who through no fault on their own were given a free win because some Blizzard staff has decided to invest thousands just to make Blokschaaf feel bad.
I recommend that you pick up chess. It sounds like a much better game for you.

tbf had a nice guy add me and ask for my deck soon after i beat him
sure i ‘can’ be toxic, but that not how i am as person, someone ‘can’ be lazy, doesn’t mean that person ‘is’ lazy with everything. depends on situation.
and i just hate some decks. i once got OTKed by someone and added him and said that it was an awesome move, even if i was mad (yes it’s hard for me to keep calm)
why does OP’s username appear grayed out?
Obviously I reported him through proper channels, but if I can shame him or warn people then maybe I can also prevent someone else from being targeted by this toxic pos.

That won’t do anything at all, the matchmaking system won’t care if someone’s been ousted as a toxic player.
