Your game is plain stupid

So you Mr.first-degree-master-in-maths, disagree in which more possibilities means less outcome foresee?

YES, a good player CAN control RNG… by AVOIDING It. You’re just trying to twist my words but is not working here. And NO, I don’t have any problem with the RNG, I have a problem on how badly this game is built as I stated since the beggining. You can be all the masters of the universe in maths you want, but your reading comprehension It’s really poor, again.

Well you’re defending that rng doesn’t affect strategy and theorically you’re a mathematician, so probably you got those master from a bag of snacks, don’t you?

Well, your defense of RNG<>Strategy doesn’t exist, is not even hilarious just delusional. I just hope you’re not in charge of military armament calculations…

I think that part of the issue is the fact that not too many new aoe spells were introduced in tue ros expansion. Hence you’ve seen so many aggro decks in the tournament, apart from some controk warriors.

Said it a couple of times already but cards like ‘defile’ from the previous year of the raven would’ve probably made a huge difference in this meta.
The twinspell mechanic is really a tad bit too much imo. Usually (in theory) control decks are supposed to counter aggro decks by keeping them at bay only to vastly outscale them in the late game. With the birth of token druid (thanks to twin spell mechanic and hence seemingly never-ending cheap minions + buffs) it kinda changed. Out of like 20 matches against token druids I’ve won only two. The amount of cc (crowd control) is just not equal to the amount of asspulls from token druids due to twinspells and what not. I suppose it would be an entirely different story if they were to add the twinspell mechanic to cards like hellfire, warpath, hagathas scheme etc. But as it is right now, token druids seem to have more tools to have total board control than control decks. From my experience as a Handlock player (mind you, I don’t hae lord godfrey in my deck which might be the reason why its so terrible bad against druids).

But apart from druids I feel like aggro decks can be somewhat dealt with (zoo, murloc shaman). But all in all, it’s WAY harder compared to last meta. During the last meta, I rarely met any aggro decks at all (rank 5-7 range back then).

My hope for this yotd is the inclusion of a cool balance between asspulls and cc. Might happen in the next expansion already

Silly is actually don’t allow comparisson between two “supossed” strategy games, because ALL games, are supossed to have a certain ammount of It.

Yeah man, because using an appeal to ridicule fallacy gonna prove your point, geez…

I’ve accepted that Hearthstone doesn’t have the strategic depth of chess or other card games like MTG or Gwent. That’s alright for me because if I want that strategic depth, I play one of those games.

I’ve accepted that luck has an influence on the game. That’s alright for me because I don’t take HS that seriously.

I’ve accepted that skill has an influence on the game. That’s alright for me because I feel that I’ve improved greatly over time, which gives me a nice sense of progression.

I’ve accepted that paying leads to more options. That’s alright for me because compared to completely free games, Hearthstone’s production quality is really good. Also the ~230 free packs each year do offer some degree of variety that I consider as ok.

I’ve accepted that the meta isn’t an ‘all are equal’ type of balance. That’s alright for me, even though I’d prefer it that way, but I do believe that I understand why the devs are doing it that way and I accept that they have a point that I disagree with.

I have accepted that Hearthstone isn’t ever going to be what I want it to be and that I believe it has a lot of potential that will probably never be used. That’s alright for me because I assume that in time there’ll be a game that is gonna be what I want it to be.

So I’ve accepted many things about Hearthstone and it leads me to having fun with it. Until I don’t anymore. Then I stop and do something else. When I feel like playing again, I do until I want or have to stop. Rinse and repeat.

So, new players, now you’ve seen my perspective on the game. By all means keep reading, but at some point you will have to form your own perspective on the game, accept or unaccept some or all of it and draw the appropriate consequences.

As far as I can see there is only one mistake you could make: Importing other’s feelings and opinions about Hearthstone instead of having your own.

THANK YOU, not for agreeing with me or not I don’t care. THANK YOU for an educated response by just giving data. And not an arrogant condescent response, congratulations, that’s something really unique in this forum as you can see…

I’ve come to notice that’s actually quite common on these forums.
