Ysera - full dust refund - Why is this card not mentioned in the patch notes?!?!?

As stated in the title, why was this card not mentioned as “changed” and eligible for full dust refund in the 20.x patch notes?
I found this on Twitter just earlier thanks to Hearthstone Top Decks and ZeddyHS.

Because the original one is moving to wild, the one in the core set is a ‘new’ card, same as all the classic cards that have new versions. So just like any card that has ever moved to wild, there is no refund.

This is essentially a necessary 1 time cost for us to be given the core set for free every year in standard from now on, so well worth it.

Maybe I didn’t express myself clear enough so I believe you didn’t quite get my point, but if you check the “old” Ysera card in the collection tab, she is fully refundable, still ( I checked while typing this). Not the classic tab, the standard/ neutral cards.
I’ve dusted mine last night, for 1600 dust, before posting here.

Oh you mean you can dust her for the full amount.

Yeah it’s definitely a bug as when you try to click on Ysera in classic it says “an error has occurred” but as you say if you go to the standard collection you can get the full 1600.

Question related with this. For people playing in Wild, it should be preferable to keep it right?

Technically no, because you can always just recraft it for the full 1600, which is why you should always dust when it’s for the full amount. So while you may want it for wild/classic, you can always recraft it having lost nothing, whereas if you end up never needing it, you’re 1600 up :slightly_smiling_face:

alot of cards are changed without notice

im not sure… but i think it is a bug of the new classic card release…

some cards in standard have classic statistics and thus are subject to a change in your collection

I play wild and I dusted Ysera. One reason, as Ixnay said, you can always craft it, and 2nd but most important, I rarely or never use this card in my decks because even when I did, or discovered it and played it, I never found it’s generated cards useful. Better yet, I could’ve done a better play instead.

Well unless you get Ysera awakens

Unless you play Classic, dusting original Ysera now is the way to go. And even if you do play Classic, you can always recraft her if you want to play a control deck there.

I just dusted her on all 3 my accounts, +4800 dust!

This stealth nerf should have been in the Patch 20.0 notes

Can you still get full dust for these cards?. I didn’t know until reading this thread, not it says i will only get 400 dust, is this right, i missed the full dust window?

Yup, I posted this on the exact day I noticed the change, and that was patch day. You seem to be off by 2-3 days or so  At least you get too keep +1 legendary for the “collection” achievement count, which seems to be bugged too. After the latest patches they dropped the count for disenchanted cards, regardless if owned or opened before. New topic incoming
