So Im playing Zephyr in high rank, Hunter vs Hunter. Opponent has Brann and 8/3 king krush
I have 4 goblin bots
Why the hell does this card give me multi-shot, summon 2/2 treants and something other insegnificant when I have 4 0/2 bots and can put him at low enough hp (for me to finish next turn) with no chance of him killing me in a hunter vs hunter matchup?
Would be easy win but this card cant plan for next turns
does it happen consistently that zephyr doesn’t give you a very appropriate card for your situation?
Except from the speed of light, everything else is relative to the observer. What you and me call ‘high rank’, someone else might call ‘noob rank’ or ‘legend dumpster’ or this or that.
Because A.I. isnt perfect. The way you ‘teach’ a program (in this case Zephrys) how to make ‘optimal’ decisions, is by giving it a finite set of ‘problems’, letting the program decide whats wrong and whats right (usually based on probabilities and a small set of ‘if’ statements), then telling the program if it made the right choice, then (using a specific mathematical function) the program adapts to your feedback. Simply put, thats how A.I. works. To have a perfect A.I. you need to give Zephrys an infinite set of problems / states, which isnt achievable.
Because you dont understand how card work. You did probably get this because there was a good chance that hunter can kill you from hand when it has 11 damage on board. You have to set the board to the state that will give you the card you need

THANK YOU!
Bran is 2/4
Crush is 8/3
Hero power adds 2
(Kill command x2 adds 10 just saying)
The wrongest thing with op’s situation is that he didn’t specify his life total, to be oblivious of that factor is a big red flag
Hes tweaked on tuesday again.
Really complex little guy apperently
Some info we’re missing from the OP:
- your life total
- opponents life total
- how much mana was left after playing Zephrys
- which card you would have wanted
- why are you certain you could kill him?
Some things to consider as well:
- Zephrys only offers basic and classic cards
- Zephrys doesn’t know your hand (or your plans)
There have been problems with specific cards (such as doomsayer), but your board seems like it shouldn’t give Zephrys any issues.
I’m guessing your two turn kill relied on killing/magnetising your bombs, which is information Zephrys does not have. All he sees are 4 0-attack minions with a deathrattle. So as far as he can tell, your damage potential for the next turn is 2 damage from your hero power.

Yeah, so I had enough mana for bloodlust and savage roar, which I did have enough mana to cast the same turn.
Thats what I wished for
Sorry I was meant to add this but forgot
• My life was really high, dont remember, but over 20 at least
• I played the 7 mana 5/5 the turn previous, as why I had the goblin bots out, so I had 8 mana. So 6 after Zeph
• Obviously I wanted Bloodlust, or even savage roar (I could have traded one into his 8/3 king krush, for people saying I could have died the next turn (laughable, id never die)
• I was certain I’d kill him because I had lethal next turn, I’d put him low enough for me to finish with the cards in my hand + hunters cant really heal
As far as I’ve seen, you only get Bloodlust if it gives you lethal or if there are no other ways of removing threats. That’s my personal experience ofcourse (I usually only play Zephrys for lethal on the same turn or for desperate removal).
This was probably the reason you didn’t get a Bloodlust: he just doesn’t know that you have a potential 2-turn kill, so he doesn’t give you the option, even though Bloodlust would be a good play without knowing your hand.
You remind me of one of my teammates, and that teammate reminds me of Leeroy.
