Zilliax legendary card

Every deck I play against (in standard) has this legendary card, except me. Why is that? It is though the card has just been given to every player for free or something.

I guess when a card fits into almost every deck people prioritise crafting it. Very rarely does ziliax not belong in a deck.

Exactly this. Ziliax can be used as a removal + heal by all classes, making him a very safe craft. Even when the meta changes, he is still likely to be good in several decks.

Just craft it my dude, it’s worth it

Where do players get the dust from to craft all these legendary cards

They dust the extra cards in their collection. Are you new to Hearthstone? If you are, let us know, we can help with the math.

Yes its really easy after the first few steps

Wow that must be some collection since each legendary cost = 1600 dust!

you get the dust by playing regularly.

the daily quests alone give you at least 220-230 packs each year.

then you get 10g per 3 wins.

each season you get some rewards that usually award some kind of golden card, which you can disenchant for extra dust.

whenever an expansion is released, you get a free legendary and usually a couple of packs.

you get a free classic pack each week for winning a tavern brawl and before every big tournament, there’s a voting option that’ll give you 1-4 packs, depending on how well the dude you voted for did in the tournament.

so that’s easily 300 packs each year, possibly more depending on how many wins you get. that’ll give some dust for crafting cards.

also new accounts get a jump start by some introductory quests and the new player ranks that give you some packs very early (I think around 30 in total).

just don’t expect to make a new account and have the dust for a couple of net decks right away. it takes some time to grind the resources.

Awesome. Just played a game against a mage, they kept freezing my minions lol. They had ‘Gruul’ legendary card. Beat them though using my ‘spirit of the tiger’ card. They copied it and added it to their own board using faceless manipulator. Still won though.

Currently it’s the legendary most people will craft first. Depending on how aggressive you are at DE cards, it’s very easy to get that first 1600 and a lot of players only care about winning, so will dust their “bad” legendaries.

Gruul is worse than a lot of commons. Basic rule of HS, rarity /= power.

I’m bit of a hoarder of cards and don’t really dust much.

That’s the best way to be in all honesty. It can take a while to build up to the 1600 but you will end up with a much larger collection.

There are some exceptions, like you should always dust cards that get nerfed and give you the full dust. Can also take advantage when cards get put in the Hall of Fame to make some extra dust. Otherwise the grind is real and I’d only ever dust cards if I was desperate to craft something, starting with legendaries as I’d rather only dust 1 card than lots of “cheaper” ones.

Exception could be golden cards, nothing wrong in considering a golden of rarity x as any card of rarity x, they can be like jokers if treated as such.

Wholeheartly fo what ixnay says

Since i startet using gold and dust like hetold me to i have a bigger collection, at least 8000 gold fornext expansion and still 14k dust onthe dide which would be even a bigger number if i wouldnt have taken a trip into the wild format

Start can be tough a little but it will teach you to manage your resources

Just won another 2 games, both against rogues. First was a pogo rogue, second one had ‘lee van cleef’ legendary and assassins contract (patient assassin). Beat the second one with my knight (20 attack, 13 defence I think). Rank 18 now. Still can’t beat warriors though, they are too strong (or shamans much actually).

Lost the next 3 games vs. warrior, mage (beat me on around turn 5 due to ‘Unexpected results’ x 2 and damaged spell zerker card) and shaman. Won the next game after that vs. secrets paladin.

These all games in standard btw.
