I have a control warrior deck without Harrison Jones but when I watched HCT and they played midrange Hunter, It seems pretty fun deck. If I should create a midrange Hunter deck the only card I need is Zul’Jin. So Should I complete my control warrior deck with Harrison Jones or create a new deck, midrange Hunter?
The way I look at it is this…which one are you going to get the MOST out of? Harrison is a very good utility card that, due to being in the classic set, is probably going to be around forever…but how many decks are you actually going to use it in?
Zul’jin, on the other hand, is a hunter only card that will be gone to wild in a year. But in that short time, you may get a lot of use out of it if you regularly play that deck.
So really, it comes down to are you going to get more value out of a long term card that you may only use sporadically, or are you going to get more value out of a card that you won’t be able use in standard for long, but might get a large amount of use in that time? I know what I would pick, but I’m not you and your preferences are more than likely very different to mine
Personally Zul’Jin seems way more fun, but it is worth looking into how much more of that deck you’d be missing. Pretty pointless if you’re missing the fun enablers lol.
Harrison goes in and out of the meta all the time, but typically I prefer running the ooze over him as I find the 3 mana saving is better than typically 1 card draw. Of course control Warrior is currently an exception to that, due to weapons project, which stops it being a vanilla 5/4 in a lot of match-ups. So I guess it depends on how much you enjoy play control warrior.
in generell yes but he is an insane tempo card when the deck allows it
i would recommend that you put an ooze in the slot atm and play a few games and think if you could have played harison in that spot at the time you use it and would have harrison helped you in a better way. Be it draw or body
Also maybe ask someone who has the hunter deck you want to try and try it out. Maybe it isnt your style in the long run.
Also if its about Standard (i assume because you said you watched the HCT) Harrison is forever but Zuljin is Wild only in about a Year
but yeah both are really solid and harrison has ways to substitute
Normally I’d 100% agree but specifically in control warrior, which already runs double weapons project, it actually works as a card draw engine against control match-ups. Where ooze is just a 3/2 (destroy a 2/3 weapon mid/late game if you run both I guess), it’s the 2 card combo that’s insane, especially if you haven’t drawn Dr.Boom yet. Draw 3, gain a 2/3 weapon, gain 6 armor and a 5/4 on board (heal opponent for 6…who cares )
