Buff Alexstrasza please

Alexstrasza is interesting hero concept but only on paper. She is healing based on percentage HP which is equally good and bad.
Lets start with her Q (gift of life): Alexstrasza sacrifices 15% of her current HP to heal for 150% of used value - not only it is uselesss when Alexstrasza has been damaged to lets 50% above - it only counters her next heal and so on, and additional 150% regen is not enough to pay for it. Imagine if Lily healing brew would heal for 50% more but after using it her max movement speed can’t exceed 80% for 2 seconds. I can guarantee such trade would lower her win ratio by like 10% because this ability wouldn’t work well with her trait. My idea to fix - It should heal 5% of target max HP + 100% out of 10% of current HP that Alexstrasza used + 100HP (x1.04 per level) and Alexstrasza should be able to cast it on herself. Additionally, passive of this talent, should be that all restoration effect - both mana and health by 25% on Alexstrasza (it would be better than 12 HP per second more on lvl 20). That way we would mitigate first problem of Alex - lack of survivability.
Next is her W (Abundance) - you create circle restoring 20% of HP after 2 seconds. Seriously? It has some escape value but it shows enemy where to place skills and actually is countered by like 2/3rd of heroes in one way or another (either by doing good AoE dmg countering usefulness of heal or by displacing and technically more if using ultimates). Suggestion how to fix it - Abundance should pulse 3 times (on 0 - initial, 1 and 2 second mark) each pulse healing 5% of max HP + (75x1.04 per level). That way most of character wouldn’t be able to completely nullify its effect (and let’s be honest - considering how much characters can abuse it - it is disgrace).
Moving on to E (Flame Buffet) - it is generally OK skill but I find cost of 50 mp (without talent) way to high for medicore CC and low dmg that is not instant (you need 2nd attack) and let the enemy move - you rarely have time to cast it 2nd time after miss unless you have godly aim and reaction speed just not to waste another 50 mp. Also it’s DOT is one of the worst (lvl 1 being 7 dmg per tick) beaten only by Nazeebo Voodoo ritual dmg (until level 20 i.e. which most of people chooses Vile infection to boost dmg by 150%). While I don’t have general issue with Skill I think little boost like increasing dmg to 96 over 7 second would be good and reduce it’s mana cost to 40 - it would help Alexstrasza with mana management and deal minor increase in DMG.

Ultimate and trait is OK and I don’t see problem with them.

Talents:
Live and Let Live, Exuberance, Life Blossom, Tough Love depends on Alexstrasza current HP percentage. Earlier suggested buffs would make mentioned talents at least little bit more useful. since Alexstrasza will be better at maintaining her own HP on good level. Circle of Life and Surge of Vitality should connect with earlier mentioned buff. On first reward Circle of Life should increase healing value per pulse by 2% of max HP (instead 5% after 2 seconds) and Surge of Vitality should grant 25% movement speed for 2 seconds stacking up to 3 times (person that was whole duration would have 25% movement speed for 4 seconds instead 30% for 3 seconds). Since Mana amount is already covered by buff, Flames of Fury utility should be change to something like more DMG, giving Alexstrasza some extra bite - lets say increase DoT duration and DoT DMG by 25%. Finally one more talent I have problem with - Blessing of the Red. Heroes gain one time + 500 Hp. While it appears to be nice from level 1 PoV on lvl 20 or higher it loses it’s charm as it is simple difference of 2 basic attacks / skill shots (even less than 1 for some characters). While I can agree that obtaining usual value of bonus being 4% per would be bit to much (resulting in 1096 hp bonus on lvl 20), I think 2.5% bonus per level would be reasonable (819 HP on lvl 20).

Hope these are OK and not to busted. I like Alex but seeing her struggling compared to other healers if she goes for DMG build or lacking offensive if she goes for healing build makes me sad.

Tell me you’re a complete newbie without telling me you’re a newbie. This whole post reads like it was written by someone who just unlocked the hero yesterday and refuses to learn how the support role actually works. If you don’t want to understand a hero’s kit, just don’t play them. Stop writing essays asking for ridiculous reworks just because of a skill issue.

Let’s talk about why these suggestions are absolutely hilarious:

  • Self-healing with Q? You want Alexstrasza to be able to cast Gift of Life on herself. Imagine the absolute disaster in a frantic team fight when a healer accidentally clicks themselves instead of saving the dying main tank. A good healer positions properly, stays out of harm’s way, and doesn’t need to waste a key single-target burst heal on themselves.
  • Healers are not Assassins: You are complaining about her E (Flame Buffet) doing low damage and wanting a DoT buff. Newsflash: a healer is not a damage dealer, and an assassin is not a healer. If you want high burst or heavy DoT, go play Nazeebo or Lunara. A support’s job is utility and keeping people alive, not topping the hero damage charts.

To put into perspective how completely out of touch your suggestions are, let’s look at what actual high-level Alexstrasza gameplay looks like. Personally, my maximum record is healing 93% of the team’s total lost health, and even on a regular day, I easily average between 63% to 86% of total lost health healed. That is literally three timesТо, что удается большинству обычных целителей, а если сравнивать со стандартным Утером, то это в 10 раз больше!

If Blizzard actually implemented your busted, overpowered ideas, Alexstrasza would have absolutely nothing to do. The team’s health wouldn’t even drop. She would be sitting there with zero work, completely bored out of her mind because health bars wouldn’t move fast enough to justify her kit. She’d literally have to start beating up her own teammates just to give herself something to heal!

The only tiny piece of sanity in your entire post is the mana cost on her E. Yes, 50 mana for Flame Buffet is too steep, especially when you are actively rotating across the map rather than just standing in a lane. Reducing it to 30–40 mana would be a reasonable quality-of-life change to help with macro mobility - but that’s it. The rest of this rework belongs in the trash bin.

L2P the hero before posting.

To give you some more context on what a real Alexstrasza main looks like: my KDA on her is around 20, and I get MVP in about 65% of my matches. Honestly, when the enemy team bans out my pre-pick in Ranked just to troll me, I lock in Alexstrasza specifically to make them regret it. They think they’re being clever, but they just forced me to play a hero that guarantees a miserable time for them and a fun format for my team. Sure, I barely deal any damage myself, but when my teammates are outliving the enemy by 3 to 5 times longer because of my healing, they have more than enough damage to make the opponents deeply regret that ban.

Good for you, now question is if you really mastered Alexstrasza or your enemies are idiots that can’t counter her obvious heal and “funny” amount of HP? As for self healing saying something like “Imagine the absolute disaster in a frantic team fight when a healer accidentally clicks themselves instead of saving the dying main tank.” that thing doesn’t happen in higher leagues which is main drive for updates and if you by any chance are in higher league and do it, it means you need to work on your coordination better. (plus lets be honest to heal tank for something useful it means you are on full hp or close to full HP meaning enemies not prioritized you (or hopefully your tank did literally perfect job) which shows enemies you are dealing with are mostly level of bots.
And also if Alexstrasza was so good she wouldn’t have been in bottom 5 of healers in overall clasification despite being relatively easy to play compared to some other characters like Whitemane where you are forced to be aggressive.
Furthermore I know healers are not DMG dealers - same as Tanks shouldn’t be dmg dealer or wave clearer so why e.g. Blaze or Mei can do it? Why Diablo can be good duelist later? Being class that is supposed to do something else than dealing dmg doesn’t meant that character shouldn’t have damaging potential. and options, If it was as you stated, there wouldn’t be any talents for offensive abilities of healers different than extra CC or support effect. And there are many - like e.g. Tyrande sentinel dealing up to 250% additional dmg (Here I actually miss old Tyrande double sentinel build killing glass cannons and other low HP targets).
As for record for healing record, good for you but then again - If enemies didn’t literally dealt dmg equal to one Li Ming orb from far away so you likely utilized faster cooldown on gift of life and maximized healing value, it is joke on them.

You completely ignore how frustrating overlapping hitboxes can be in a real match. Try pixel-perfect targeting on allies when you’re playing with a 300 ping, and then come talk to me about “skill issues.”

In case you missed it, Alexstrasza can heal regardless of her current health pool. If you actually knew her playstyles, you’d know she can pump out massive burst healing in incredibly short windows. But I guess when you look at your healer roster and see her at the very bottom, you just assume she’s bad because your hero level on her is low.

You claim she’s “easy” to play, but barely one in a thousand actually plays her well. Sure, if your gameplay boils down to “press W and wait for the cooldown,” it’s easy. But in reality, two of her builds require constant, active fire-buffet spamming. Her third build is so intense it feels like day-trading on the stock market—you are constantly balancing stakes, tracking health across all lanes, monitoring enemy rotations, playing the map, and clearing massive minion waves. You don’t have time to just stand there.

And comparing her to Whitemane? Whitemane isn’t the rocket science you think she is. Her loop is the exact opposite—she has to attack to heal. Alexstrasza literally does not have the luxury or the safety to do that, especially since her main heal costs her own percentage-based health.

Your take on tanks is equally amusing. Blizzard’s recent genius policy has been buffing tank damage so they can solo-carry while lowering the damage of actual assassins. Right now, tanks are basically beefier assassins that can straight-up wipe a group of heroes alone.

But I get it, things got confusing for you. Ever since Blizzard split utility and shielding heroes into a separate “Support” category, the concept of a dedicated healer has been a bit too complex for a newbie like you to comprehend. Offensive talents on healers are designed for utility—like slowing down enemies to help the team—not for you to roleplay as a damage dealer.

Oh, and complaining about Li-Ming orb spam? That’s basic, predictable stuff. It’s incredibly easy to counter—assuming your brilliant teammates don’t walk into five of them in a row. But looking at your logic, I bet you’re exactly the type of teammate to face-tank every single orb and then blame the healer for not out-healing a one-shot.

L2P the game before you try to tell an Alexstrasza main how to play.

You are right in many aspects. After some thoughts I guess you were right in majority of stuff. My only problem that remains technically that abundance is still really easy to counter. While truth that Alex can heal massive amounts as 20% of e.g. Diablo or Stitches is a lot  I have problem that like 80% of characters have like effective counter to it that isn’t ultimate. If I caused some drama I am sorry for it. To be fair was venting after barely won match (it was to level 27). Mostly what annoyed me was that I wish there were talent combination + party comb promoting all kinds of tactics rather than having offensive abilities on healer that would be cool but have to cast them aside as without supporting ones my heal would easily be not enough to carry my team.

Btw, speaking of Alex, you know you’re a threat when they target-ban your Alex in ranked instead of a meta pick. It’s hilarious because I have a deep hero pool and only fill as a healer when nobody else wants to. Banning Alex is literally useless.

Again thanks for feedback and being patient to explain your pov. I still think some “small buffs” (maybe not suggested by me) should be added to Alexstrasza (as any good player can tell e.g . that they are so good with Auriel that they have immortal team as before level 20 they already had 40 + stacks on healing meaning her heals, also deal around 1k dmg to enemy and heal for 3.2k + every 5 seconds). Again I am not arguing, I am just average (not bad, not good) player who thinks it might be a weakness and perhaps not played optimal setup for it yet.
