Ban and silences have been out of control making people even more bitter and miserable.
It is not addressing the issue.
So, to tackle this problem and help fund the game and the devs who are doing an amazing job, I think this is needed.
Does not have to be mandatory for all.
For example make an energy system… Like you can do X number of games for free, but if u want to do infinite daily, you pay $5 dolars per month.
And end the shi*ty bans.
Ever heard about a game called the culling? It had a very similar system and no one played the game after.
No offense, but I have no idea how anyone could find such a system reasonable

You think pay $5 is unreasonable to keep a dying game alive? lmao
Why do you even play hots if you don’t want it to be better?
Let’s say… You get enough energy for 5 games per day… if you want to play more… you should pay… It’s completely reasonable
Explain to me how making people pay for the game monthly will stop the game from dieing. Practically all other MOBAs are F2P, so HOTS player’s will just move on and play them, while only a few diehard fans who don’t know about the existence of other games will keep on playing.

In all honesty your idea is reversed.
I pay for quality, I don’t pay for the possibility of quality.
I pay for a solution, I don’t pay for the possibility of a solution.
I’ve played since alpha and it was not because of me the game deteriorated so why should i now be penalized with a monthly fee on a game announced as free?
I bought on my main account many of the bundles probably in excess of 300€ through out all these years so in a way I already payed your monthly fee upfront.
I have all characters, 90%+ of skins and all that.
What’s happening is a recessive spiral, game was not launched properly, no ranked mode, no meaningful stats, then HGC sucked money like mad, got canceled, at the same time player base was diminishing for many reasons, so cuts were made to staff, people saw the game losing quality stopped playing and so on all the way to where we are now and still falling.
To invert this, it’s crucial to understand what failed, what people want, correct it and reinvest. As we know from recent news the opposite is happening.
I share your frustration with bans, I’ve said in these forums. I play with chat off.
We live in an era where it’s just easier to automate badly.

Changing it so people will have to pay to play, will just make even more people quit the game
Agree. People will not pay for a game in it’s current state and leave
Go and read why Blizz is being sued and you will see why the devs are in fact not doing a good job. This game. World of Warcraft. Or Diablo are not in good shape. Theyve fallen apart.
