Kharazim has a unique mechanic where you get to pick his trait for his level 1 talent. This is a pretty fun concept but there are a few issues with it. The main issue is that Iron Fist is just significantly better than the other two options. Insight is extremely niche as it relies you to consistently hit people which isn’t always possible. Transcendence just isn’t needed and provides extremely minor healing.
While the idea of picking your trait sounds fun, the option just feels strange at this point. There’s a few ways they could go with this. Remove the idea of picking your trait and just make iron fists default (perhaps even include one of the other past traits in there) while weakening its overall power. This would give Khara, essentially, a big boost as you now get access to a whole set of tier one talents that you didn’t have before. While it’s quite boring, it is simple.
The other option is that they could change how his trait works. Perhaps iron fists is the only one that rewards you for punching people and the other two reward you for doing something else. This would allow for this already versetile hero to have alot more options on how to play. Perhaps Transcendence rewards you for healing alot, perhaps they are activatable traits. These are just some simple ideas but I personally think they’d go a long way to make Kharazim have more variety.
Let me make this clear, I don’t think he’s a bad hero. I just think it’s unfortunate that he has a mechanic where you can pick a trait and it’s so underused while also making the hero suffer for it.
