As far I have learned the matchmaking system, it tries to match you with similiar ranked players and there is a limit to how wide the gap is of a rank the players can be. You’re not forced to play with toxic people as far as I know but we are forced to play with 4 other players if we click the Ready button and if we exit the game we get leaver status.
I only know this from personal experience, I didn’t create the matchmaking system.
