Do i even need to explain this further?
Azmodan gets the MVP-slot every game its available, isnt that an indicator enough of beeing overpowered?
Completely insane that other heroes is beeing disabled but azmo, wich is the most OP of them all is not, this blows my mind, and makes me questioning blizzards general mindset.
Oh, not again… This topic is as old as HOTS, to summarize the Azmodan is fine in ARAM’s.
- He is weak early game, the first 8–10 minutes he just stacks.
- He has a huge hitbox, vulnerable to CC and AoE.
- You can predict and dodge his globe.
- Your team can simply spread to not feed stacks, even if he lands a globe then he gets only one stack.
- Most healers can outheal his globe damage, if your healer doesn’t do that, then it’s either a skill issue or his teammates doesn’t know how to position themselves properly.
If they remove him just because many players lacks the skill and experience to deal with him then the hoard will demand to also ban Chromie, because she is similar with her W, they will demand to ban Valla because of Arsenal range and so on… you can continue until no heroes are left. Stitches because hook, Artanis because swap, etc.
The counter-arguments actually don’t make that much sense, especially 4 and 5.
- Most heroes are weak early game. And he’s only “weak” compared to his fully stacked mode. I would argue that he’s average early game and OP late game, rather than being weak at any point.
- Completely irrelevant. Any player worth their sait can hit any hero with a skillshot just as easily. Azmodan also have more HP than a normal caster, compensating for that vulnerability.
- It’s relatively hard to dodge it in the heat of the battle, especially if people are slowed, rooted or stunned. But even if they aren’t and not blocked in any way - dodging Azmodan ball isn’t trivial, especially if Azmodan is good at aiming it. It is also a big tool when your team is either pushing or retreating, because it can be cast ahead of your movement and then you either have to give up the chase (meaning you sacrifice a good engagement) or slow down your retreat (meaning you put yourself in danger.
- Means you have to spread, which makes your team more vulnerable to be picked off. This in itself is a big advantage
- Yeah, sure, you can outheal anything. Problem is - when you don’t have to stress-heal in one scenario but you have to heal more against Azmodan - that means he’s getting a big advantage. He’s stressing your healer’s mana and cooldowns more than other heroes, meaning your healer may not have heals available for other scenarios when they normally would have.
Azmodan isnt even top 3 highest winrate in ARAM, look at the Heroes Profile Azmodan stats for the past 2 patches across all ranks, 56% win rate is solid but not to the point of removing the hero completely from ARAM, if you remove it, people will continue complaining about other heroes like Thrall Lightning talent, ZJ, Naz toads, Gazlowe Grav-o-bomb etc. just do what you can do when you play vs Azmo that’s it.
Azmodan isn’t an issue in ARAM. Several casters are good in aram
