Why do xp boosts expire in a linear time and not playtime?
If I buy an xp boost in order to maximize my money I have to play non stop, not healthy.
If I buy one boost and for reason I am unable to play for some days, I lose it all.
I don’t think this is good for the game, the players and in effect Blizzard.
This should have been changed long time ago, I believe you would sell more.
Here is a constructive feedback from a player that has all characters, almost all skins and a truck load of gold, so nothing in it for me.
Just think it’s bad for new players and players that have not played for that long or regularly enough, we need them also.
To get you to spend money. Or else they would last way to long
Well, that much I figured.
I just wonder if the money they get is worth.
I see very few people with xp boosts in game.
I agree. I don’t really need them either, but I would buy them if they were more lucrative.
Like insomnia said : “To get you to spend money”.
Well, sure. But this way it only appeals to money whales and people with to much free time on their hands. Same story for the skin bundles. I think they would sell more by adding divided bundles as well. So you don’t have to buy every color variation for a skin you like. (I just buy them with shards, but thinking in the lines of what would be good for blizzard sales here)
Back on topic: I would much sooner buy a booster for 14 hours playtime for 400 gems (translates to 2 hours per day) than the current 7 days for 400 gems. Same goes for the more expansive ones: 60 hours instead of 30 days and 720 hours instead of 360 days.
Even if they gave 1 hour boost per day, I think it would still be better and they would sell alot more of them. 7, 30 and 360 hours without expiration and only used up when ingame.
The problem with this is that some people grind the game after they buy a boost, so if you change them to playtime not RL time, then a lot of them will be unhappy.
This is just one of those cases where if you change something for one part of the playerbase, the other one will be displeased
They could just add these new types of boosters, so people have the choice what they prefer. This way you keep everyone happy.
