Start of the year I started to save up the normal Overwatch boxes. I took screenshots of my currency and item amount on each hero if people like to see.
But, 100 chests later, not including event chests cause I opened them.
I got 233-234 grey, one item was misscalculated so I removed 1 from grey after wards. Chances are its mainly grey and not blue.
Blue items 122
Purple items 34
Gold items 11
Credits 2530 before box opening, 6530. Looks very calculated out to hit a certain amount.
It was interesting to see the numbers, and much more fun opening a lot of boxes than one at a time. Would been much faster had I counted event boxes but I wanted those skins on the spot so I opened em, which might have tilted the percentage a bit perhaps.
How many items did you have initially? Did you have any duplicates?
On my main account I have ~70% of items for all heros so almost all items are duplicates in normal loot boxes. I’d mention that the percentage of collected items has always been spread quite evenly across the heros.
Better to open event loot boxes before the end of the event. That way if none of your boxes contain some event related skins you want you still have time to buy them from in-game gold before the end of the event.
Buying them if one can afford them of course.
I have a screen of the hero gallery before and after to show how many items that landed. From what I heard the formula for duplicates has been lowered significantly to give us more voice lines and such which renders our currency amount lower in the long run. Hard to say how many items I had without looking in my screenshot folder!
