20 min for a game as DPS = Slow death

I have over 500 hours on Symetra and yes recently I have waved in and out of Overwatch because let’s be honest it kinda gets a bit boring after years of same maps same game just new noobs old mistakes, now with this force to choose class to get quicker runs, I am not quite sure what Blizz is trying to get at - I just wished they honored and respected those players who put in the hours - if this segmentation of class in QP continues i can’t see myself waiting for 10 - 15 min for a game not on overwatch . what are you thoughts guys lets get some movement here and perhaps they might give us 10 min of new gameplay. hahaha, sure sure lol see you out there FDevs please, stop something concrete would be great

I might be underaverage as a Plat everything, but mind telling me what rank/MMR youre in that you’re in 10+ Min queues?

I’ve never been queued for longer than 5 minutes as DPS

So why not just play quickplay classic?

First of all. If you were a onetrick in comp you pretty much “stole” the role from other people who also wanted to play it. Secondly, just play QP Classic if you used to only play QP.

DPS mains before role queue: “I wouldn’t mind long queue times if it meant that both teams get healers and tanks.”
DPS mains after role queue: “It’s sooooo unfaaaaaair. Why do I have to wait so long to play the role that is easiest, has the largest hero variety, gets rewarded with the most medals tinkered towards it, the most in-game feedback to reward it, PotGs to reward it and the misguided feeling of doing all the work when your team is trying desperately to keep you alive while you go where you shouldn’t go?”

Nope. Most of us enjoy the game even more since less people whine about us picking dps.

role queue killed it

Technically the more DPS players leave the game the shorter the queue times will become. So far I don’t think enough players have left. Although I fired up Overwatch and it says its around 3 minutes wait time for a DPS game, several weeks ago it was around 8. Of course Blizzard’s queue estimations are never correct and I don’t feel masochistic enough to try a game for myself.

the longest I’ve waited in comp and in qp was 5 minutes but that’s because I play with friends. this game sucks playing by myself so-- :woman_shrugging:
