3 tank 2 support meta

I really like playing damage and sometimes tank but I don’t want to role queue for 5+ minutes for each game. That then leaves me with open queue which has a 3 tank 2 support meta which I’m getting tired of. It’s boring to play against and it forces your team to do the same or you get rolled (in most cases). Would be nice to see changes implemented to stop this as I used to enjoy open queue

2 tank 1 dps 2 supports actually works just as well.
And even regular quick play only had 1 minute dps queues, for if you just want a quick fix of some dps.

Probably be the same wait time if they did changes. Support role is quick because it’s considered less fun to play.

I had a very enjoyable game with 2 tanks and 3 supports yesterday. Surprisingly good on a capture point map.

Can’t say I’ve noticed that becoming a meta. Most games are still 2 tank, 2 dps, 1 healer, or 2 tank, 1 dps, 2 healer.

I acc enjoy the games with 3 tanks even more as it makes brawling on the front line much better as a Zarya main. Even played some 4 tank 1 heal games but that’s just too much.

Meta isn’t what’s played most. It’s the most efficient way to win.

3-2 was always going me be the open queue meta. Everyone saw that as soon as 5v5 was announced.

Whilst people do enjoy open queue, it is actually less “free” than role queue weirdly. Because as soon as 3-2 comes out, you are pretty much done. Bar the obvious mega pop off from someone.

Ranked 100% shouldn’t have an open queue variant. And I’m not totally sold on the need for one in QP… But it’s QP so who really cares.

I’ve noticed it mainly in comp, I think people in unranked open queue are just messing around trying new heroes etc. I just find it insanely mind numbing to be shooting my bullets into a massive health pool that’s constantly being healed!

Role queue for DPS and play deathmatch while waiting. Time flies.

It just feels like every other game in comp is this set up. I find it pretty strong but maybe a skill issue on my behalf :man_shrugging:

That’s why I did my 7 games in season 1 and left it.

If you’re playing in a 5 with friends it can be quite fun. Outside of that, there is little joy to be found.

I just wait it out in the queue now, it sucks but I have a lot more fun this way
