4070 + i9 14900K with 110 fps

Hi all,

I have been looking at benchmarks for overwatch 2 after I recently upgraded to a 4070 and a i9 14900k. I have a monitor that has a refresh rate of 165 and can play at 1440p.

Based on all of these, the purposed fps average should be 280 on EPIC settings (based on youtube videos and benchmark sites. However, my average is is 110 fps with some fps drops around 90. I have followed the “Increase FPS” overwatch forum page for tips to improve fps but none of those work.

Does anyone know why my average fps can be lower than what others with the same GPU and CPU are showing off/benchmark sites?

Settings:

Resolution: 2560x1440 (165)
Dynamic Render scale: Off
DLSS SUper Resolution: Ultra performance
Render Scale Auto
Frame rate: 600
VSync: Off
Triple buffering: Off
Reduce buffering: Off
Nvidia reflex: Enable+Boost

Graphics quality Epic
High Quality: Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution

Render scale should not be “Auto”, render scale should be 100%

Are your CPU/GPU/RAM at full capacity while Overwatch is running? Check the Task Manager and find out if there is a potential bottleneck due to another program running in the background.

Changed it to 100% render scale.

Currently average usage is

CPU: 6% usage (Temp 57C)
RAM: 47% usage (15 gb out of 32gb used)
GPU: 5% usage (59C on load)

Second highest ram usage program is opera gx at 1000mbs. (Highest ram usage is OW at 6100mb)

That’s not an indication of anything in regards to OW performance
