I played the classic. Fun! But, not for the way heros used to work.
I would like to have ALL these maps back in the game.
- Make adjustments - And bring them back Blizzard.
Honestly im sad that the event is gonna end soon i sadly only managed to play twice in while it was but man it was genuinely the most fun i had gaming in like 2 years (and i mean in general not just in regards to overwatch 2)

6v6 must be permanent, I only play 6v6 right now.

I’d love to see the daily numbers for it, compared to other modes. I’d be surprised if it’s got a big play rate
OW which had 6v6 got the game of the year award, and has the best metacritic ratings out of OW and OW2.
5v5 got a roughly 20% positive rating on Steam.
Hopefully they bring it out for comp.

I can only speak for myself but I ONLY played 6v6. And now that it’s gone I just alt+f4’d the game lul. Totally don’t feel like 5v5 somehow, yawn.
So I assume I’m not the outlier here and there are others who feel the same.

I played it a few times. It was fun, but mostly because of remembering how hilariously bad things were.
6v6 as a mode, fine. That patch, terrible.
If 6v6 is something that sticks around it has to be on the current, or variation of, the current patch.
These “Classic” events will just be them having a laugh going “remember how much you hated this”. 100% they will do a “GOATS” era one soon. And probably a double shield one.
You are 100% right. There will be plenty more. I am just curious to see if they will just put the cards on the table and show us how many people were playing each mode during the event.
I guess the answer will be, if the event returns it was well played. If it doesn’t, then it wasn’t played much. Lucioball as an example, play rates were so low they zero efforted it and then just stopped bothering.
From what im getting, they will revisit old ears from OW1 and this will suck for the most of it since it will just be Goats and shield meta eventually.
They should just bring OW on doomfist release date and keep it there.

I don’t really like their wishy washy, wet approach to it. They’ve said 5v5 isn’t going anywhere, fine, whatever. They should just show some courage of conviction and get on with it. Stop trying to play both sides. If people desperately want to play 6v6, other games do it.

They really are trying to remind people who bad OW used to actually be with these classic events.
Overwatch was goated before they added Brigite and started balancing the game around 60 iq people playing it.
Don’t disagree. That being said, some of the most fun games I had were the GOATS v GOATS. Was where I got good at ult tracking, back when I full try harded the game.
The most fun for me was the small time Ball D.Va was the play. But that was mostly because Ball main, and the person that got me in to OW was a D.Va main.
How was goats vs goats fun? It was legit one of the most stale metas the game had, only rived by shield the bastion. It legit made overwatch feel like it wasnt a shooter. Ult tracking in the old days was meh, since getting ult was super easy back then.
And the moment the other team wasnt goats, it was just over for them, no matter the rank.
Fun is subjective after all.

Lots of people having fun in marvel rivals. I personally thinks it’s a tedious experience.
Marvel rivals is meh, same problem as OW2, you are relient on tanks and support to exist. I did two games and stopped just because it doesnt have a role que and ofc the game is heavily balanced around having a balanced team composition so i dont even bother with it.
Also the map graphics are too much, OW nailed that aspect by making maps less detailed so you can actually see what going on.
Yep. And MR will have the same issue OW has always had. Not enough tank players.
100% agree with you here. Something about the design is off putting.
The core mechanics are solid. It’s technically a very good game. Just looks and sounds weird.
