its not a big nerf but, i suggest she can no longer shield bash and stun him while he is looking at her with his shield . so this means she no just walk up with shield and bash him but she needs to flank around and stun him from behind. so that way Brigitte is a little bit more difficult to play and its a big relief for rein mains to play against her.
This SHOULD be the case, but I think it’s impossible from a technical standpoint.
Basically, when you use SB, you move forward quite quickly, and this forces you through the shield and next to the Rein behind the shield, thus stunning him.
It’s kind of like how Lucio can force his way through Rein shield and boop him, albeit requiring more skill as SB has much more force behind it to force itself through the barrier.
Long story short, unless they miraculously find a way to make players not be able to force themselves through the shield, SB with always stun Rein.

Its prob not, just hard code the interaction between the two mechanics to calculate shields as hard surfaces/walls.
But then allies can’t walk through shields, and in fact shields could block their retreat.
If she’s walking towards her with her shield up, and you’re rein, then you’re pretty much gold as long as you’ve team mates to back you up.
I say that because, unless the baguette has her ult, rein’s hammer is one of the most effective weapons against her and her armor. No, not the best, but much better than, say, Winston or Orisa’s gun, and far better than DVA’s

I play brigitte in grandmaster and believe it or not, she gets absolutely demolished by rein and any other cleave damage. Even going near a rein/zarya deathball is nothing short of suicide.
She’s barely played up here anyway.

Yeah in the higher tiers where people actually team up on certain heroes like baguette or mei (is mei even played in higher ranks?) those “problem” heroes aren’t really a problem anymore
I said the interaction between the two mechanics, not hard code the shield to be a wall. Just like the interactions between doom and rein etc.
But Doom is knockback, not stun. In fact, if you hit a wall, you are stunned as Rein with shield up.
My point is the code simply does not allow Brig NOT to stun Rein with SB, unless Rein had some sort of stun immunity with his shield up.
But that’s a different discussion entirely…
