Account banned for "Account Boosting"

Me and my friend returned to the game about 2 months ago after leaving the game for about 6 months or so. Because of this we decided to buy 2 new accounts to rank up and take into comp. After levelling the accounts to 25 and jumping into comp we were both placed around 2k on all roles. We then began climbing and over the course of season 32 I managed to climb to diamond on tank and plat on dps, whereas my friend managed to climb to play on dps and tank. We were then banned for “Account Boosting” and both submitted a support ticket where we both recieved this response:

After a review of the action on this account, we found that the account was in violation of the Terms of Use. ( eula link ) Based on the evidence, we will be upholding the closure on this account. As we have reviewed this action in detail, we consider this situation closed. Future contacts about this penalty may go unanswered, for additional information, please reference the email that was sent to the registered email on the account.
I cannot disclose which programs were used, but in the future I would not use any programs that you think may cause issues. Using any third party software that would benefit you in any way during regular Overwatch gameplay can result in this kind of action.
To continue playing Overwatch you will need to create a new Battlenet account and purchase a new Overwatch license. This Overwatch account will remain closed down permanently.

Clearly this response doesn’t match up with our ban reasons and makes it quite evident that the “Specialist Game Master” hasn’t read our ticket in the slightest, or has atleast just copy and pasted a typical response they make. Also, in case you’re wondering about the e-mail, it doesn’t include any further details. The e-mail consists of the ticket response and nothing else.

We don’t handle appeals through the forums sadly, when buying Overwatch we would also like to remind you to buy the game through us or a reputable third-party vendor. It does look like there will be a further review on your account though so please expect an email in the next 24-72 hours usually.
