Hey all,
First-time poster, but I’m not certain where to go with this.
On Saturday morning, I woke up and attempted to play some Overwatch. I get a message on the Battle.net launcher that says my account has been banned. I check to find an email stating my account has been permanently banned because of “hacks.”
I definitely don’t have any hacks on my PC. I’ve been playing on a new PC that I bought 6-months ago and have not had any issues until now. I thought it might have been because I got a 60-minute ban on Friday for leaving 2x comp games early (I know it’s not cool, but sometimes get random work calls that I have to take).
Regardless, I bought a new account and played on that for Saturday, trying to hit level 25 so I could play comp with my friends. I get up this morning and am halfway through a casual game when I get kicked out and banned for the same reason of “hacking.”
I’ve raised an appeal for both accounts (already lost both) and requested information on what software/application is causing this report, but 110% I’m not hacking. I’ve never hacked any game I’ve ever played, and definitely not Overwatch. This is basically a stock PC that I’ve been using for the past 6-months. The only things I have installed on it are Microsoft Office and a few other video games I sometimes play.
I’m extremely confused about this permanent ban. I feel like Blizzard definitely shouldn’t have banned these accounts as I am not “hacking” anything. I feel like this company is stealing my money by banning my accounts without telling me what is causing these reports. I only get a generic link to their code of conduct when speaking with the game masters, but this isn’t helpful at all.
How do I proceed from here? Do I just dispute the charges on my credit card for these games? I’m not able to get any information on how to fix this. I definitely like Overwatch and it’s been my favorite game for almost a year now. I don’t feel like paying more money to Blizzard for other accounts is wise at this point though…
