Good evening or Hello, I have a special problem, previously in 2016 I created a Battle.net account on my Xbox account on Overwatch then I switched to PC but under a different battle tag, would it be possible to dissociate the Battle tag Xbox while keeping the data and link it to my battle tag PC? Thank you for your answer and the time you took for me.
Hi Miktris! This is not strictly a technical issue as it has more to do with Account system.
In general XBOX accounts for OW are their own thing and exist within the MS ecosystem and not our; you can’t strictly create a Battle.net account on the XBOX.
What one usually can do is having the XBOX Live account linked to pre-existing Battle.net account through the connection section of the account management ( https://account.battle.net/connections )
From what I can understand from your post what you want to do is to transfer your progress and unlock from your XBOX Live to your PC account. (?)
If that’s the case you’re in luck. Overwatch 2 will enable cross progression once released. You may want to ensure that the XBOX live account where you played Overwatch is connected to Battle.net (see again the link posted above)
After you have done that after logging on the game, you will be prompted to verify if the XBOX live account is the correct one from which you want to import your progress.
Double check that everything is correct and confirm.
To note that the actual progress transfer won’t happen now, it will happen only once Overwatch 2 will be released.
